[LESSONS LEARNED]: An AGILE MINDSET From A Former Delivery Manager in Telecom Roll-Out Projects

My "WHY"...?

The telecom sector is an AGILE project worth managing! I’ve always been motivated to enable different sectors or sub-sectors who value continuous learning and are seeking a nimble mindset to lead their people and grow their capabilities. As Delivery Managers, we’re often dazed in traditional Waterfall ways of doing things. The concept of AGILITY gets lost in the day-to-day operations. It is common to miss the AGILE side of value creation for businesses, and only focus on time, scope and cost – the infamous triangle??????

I’ve learned to empower customer projects through an introspective climate that allows our teams to become the most powerful version of themselves. I believe that AGILITY should be given the proper respect, FLEXIBILITY and ADAPTABILITY are keys to successful delivery. I’m also aware that the resilience, knowledge and SKILLS gained from my experiences can help people who are on the same path. Sharing my knowledge can lift others up, and support businesses of all sizes, including Small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs).

In immensely high-pressure situations working with multinational operators, our teams successfully deployed 25+ groundbreaking ICT projects (~4204+ cell sites) that brought network infrastructure transformation to emerging markets and remote areas; enabling over 4+ million end-users spanning 19+ countries across the Caribbean and Central America.

• Technology evolution and improvement strategies in attaining better network for multi-channel customers (B2B, B2C & B2B2C) go digital, increase efficiency, find new revenue streams, and create new user experiences - Mix LTE, 4G, 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi solutions, with each having their distinct operational cycles and levels of performance.
