Leadership extends beyond traditional settings. Through my experience as both a football player and the coordinator of a female football section, I’ve learned that true leadership is about motivating, uniting diverse teams, and empowering others. Whether on the field or in the workplace, I embrace values like teamwork, perseverance, and servant leadership—lessons that shape my daily approach to guiding and supporting those around me.

The Beginning of the Female Football Section: Vision, Motivation, and Effort
When I was a child, the opportunities for girls to play football were limited. That experience drove me to ensure future generations wouldn’t face the same barriers. So, I took the opportunity my son's football club granted to establish a female football section from scratch. What started with just one team last season has now grown to two—a testament to what can be achieved when vision, motivation, and relentless effort align.
?A colleague once told me, 'You’ve shown that when you truly want something, motivation and effort make the difference, and people will rally behind your vision.' Those words have stuck with me and shaped my approach to leadership, both on and off the field.

Challenges of Leading a Diverse Team: Uniting for a Common Goal
Leading a team is never without its challenges, especially when it consists of diverse individuals with different personalities and motivations. From balancing strong egos to nurturing quieter players, the role of a leader is to find common ground, unite the team around a shared goal, and ensure that everyone contributes their unique strengths. In football, just like in business, the key is to create cohesion, despite the differences.

Sustaining Motivation and the Power of the Last Mile
Motivation is easy to inspire at the beginning of a project, but sustaining it over time is the real challenge. Whether leading a team of football players or professionals, I always focus on what I call 'the last mile'—the stretch where perseverance and resilience matter most. It’s not just about winning a game or reaching a business milestone; it's about that final push where we give our best and achieve something meaningful together.

Instilling Values and Teaching through Football
Coaching is about more than teaching technique or strategy. It’s about instilling values that extend far beyond the football field—teamwork, discipline, perseverance. Watching these girls develop not just as players but as individuals who respect one another and understand the power of collaboration is being one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Football and Leadership: How Playing Shaped My Beliefs
Reflecting on my journey, I realize how much my time playing football shaped my approach to leadership. Being a team player taught me that success is never just about individual performance. It’s about how we work together, raise each other up, and drive toward a common goal. These lessons are the foundation of my leadership style today.

Servant Leadership: Facilitating, Supporting, and Empowering
As a leader, I embrace the philosophy of servant leadership—focusing on facilitating the success of others rather than being in the spotlight myself. Whether it’s my coaches or my players, my role is to clear obstacles, offer guidance, and ensure they have what they need to shine. Leadership isn’t about taking the credit; it’s about ensuring the team succeeds, and when they do, their success speaks for itself.

Leadership Beyond the Field
My journey with the female football section has reinforced that leadership is about more than directing—it’s about motivating, uniting, and empowering others. The values of teamwork, perseverance, and servant leadership continue to guide me. The lessons I’ve learned from the field are ones I carry with me every day, as I strive to lead by example and empower those around me.
