Lessons From My First Year as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Carrier

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I joined Carrier ! From the very beginning, my mission has been clear: to evolve the Marketing & Communications function, elevate Carrier’s global brand, and help position us as the global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
These past 12 months have been filled with continuous learning, collaboration, and meeting truly fantastic people in a fast-paced environment. They have also been filled with important lessons I’ve learned on the way. Here are three of them:
Lesson 1: A clear vision is an incredible motivator
The reason I chose to be a part of this amazing company was because I was deeply impressed by Carrier’s vision and portfolio transformation journey. That is even truer today. I am genuinely so grateful to be a part of our evolution into a focused, pure-play company.
Over the past year, I’ve witnessed the dedication of everyone at Carrier — from our seasoned leaders to our enthusiastic interns — all working tirelessly to help us achieve our ambitious goals. Why has this worked? It’s worked because we all clearly understand what the future looks like for Carrier, and that excites and motivates us like nothing else. It is rare for a company to promise such significant change and then deliver on those promises so quickly. But Carrier has done just that, consistently setting the bar higher.
Lesson 2: Change takes collective work
Driving a vision of this size and impact requires more than just inspiration and excitement; it demands hard work, unrelenting excellence, and effort from approximately 60,000 employees, all pulling together to work as one team. It may sound cliché, but the truth is that the commitment of every person at Carrier has really inspired me this past year. Dedication is contagious and creates a virtuous cycle. We see each other win, and we want to continue winning for our customers. I’m convinced that our engaged and connected colleagues are the cornerstone of Carrier’s success, and I am so impressed by the community we are building.

Lesson 3: Lean into growth
Navigating the complexities of a global organization in an era of rapid technological advancement and shifting markets requires both agility and foresight. We can’t be afraid of change or the demands for the opportunities it provides. I am proud of the strides we’ve made together as we continue to adapt, shift, and grow.
Looking forward, my vision for Carrier remains one of continued growth, with sustainability at the heart of our efforts. We believe it’s not just our responsibility but our opportunity to make a lasting impact on the world for future generations. On the Marketing & Communications front, we are set to push boundaries further with cutting-edge digital marketing and data-driven strategies, not just to enhance our market presence but to redefine it. Our work is driving positive change and contributing to a more sustainable future. Each milestone we reach reaffirms our vision and motivates us to aim even higher.
Thank you to everyone at Carrier for teaching me these lessons and so many other lessons this year. I am so grateful for your support and for being a part of this remarkable journey. I couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds for us as we continue to move forward together as one Carrier.
I also have to give a special thanks to the wonderful people I get to work with every day on our global Marketing & Communications teams. I'm incredibly impressed by what we've accomplished, and I'm excited for what lies ahead. We are paving the way to transform our function and elevate Marketing & Communications to a strategic growth partner for the business, creating differentiated experiences for our customers and driving demand gen growth and value for Carrier.
Here’s to celebrating all we have done over the last year as one team and to many more milestones ahead as we advance on this journey together.
