Lessons from LMU
I recently had the incredible opportunity to speak at a Building Entrepreneurial Families conference at Loyola Marymount University, and I’m thrilled to share some of the key insights from my presentation with you.
At the heart of our discussions was a powerful message about what it means to be successful.
Ask yourself now:
What is your definition of success?
“Success is about consistently doing what you’ve promised yourself, achieving your goals with clarity, focus, ease, and grace.” – Dr Maria Nemeth
THE CORE OF MY MESSAGE: THE STANDARDS OF INTEGRITY
During the conference, I introduced an exercise that provides clarity – the first quality of success.
The exercise is called Your Standards of Integrity – a tool that I encouraged each attendee to share with their families and employees.
This exercise is a tool I learned from the Academy for Coaching Excellence and is a tool for uncovering the core values that define who we are and guide us toward fulfilling experiences.
These values, inherent within us, shape our actions and our interactions, serving as a compass in both personal and professional realms.
INTEGRITY AND SELF-REFLECTION
Integrity, in this context, means being complete, embodying wholeness without part missing. It’s about standing firm on the ground of our own values.
I shared a step-by-step guide for discovering these Standards of Integrity, emphasizing the importance of identifying the qualities we admire in others as reflections of our own true selves.

THE JOY OF SHARING AND RECONNECTING
Speaking at the conference was not only an honor but also a profound joy, especially as it allowed me to reconnect with the wisdom of Dr. Lee Hausner and Professor Choi.

As we move forward, let’s hold our Standards of Integrity close, allowing them to guide us in achieving success with grace and to inspire those around us with our authentic selves.
Here’s to our continued growth and success in our families and ourselves.
