"Lessons in Code: Reflecting on My Learning Experience"

Hello, everyone!

I'm here to share my journey of coding. How did I decide on a coding career? How did I learn to code? What programming languages have I learned? What difficulties did I face while preparing? What new topics did I learn?

Here, you can learn about everything:

Once upon a time, coding wasn't a part of my life. Then, one day, I asked my cousin named Shivam Ramdhani, a software engineer? about his work and everything related to it. His explanation sparked my interest, and I decided to try coding as a career option.

Following my cousin's guidance, I researched computer science and its languages. This research clarified my path into the world of coding.

In January this year, I began learning the C language with a YouTube channel MYSirG by Saurabh Shukla Sir. His lectures are very helpful and easy to understand. With that, I built the base of my first programming language. While learning C, I wrote my very first program and initially found coding quite easy. I felt confident about achieving my goals quickly.

However, as I progressed through the course, I realized that coding wasn't as easy as I had initially thought.

Despite the challenge, I continued. With focus, hardwork and dedication, I developed a good understanding of C. Arrays and pointers were not that easy for me, so I prepared notes on tough topics which helped me a lot during my revision time. Simultaneously, I also prepared cheat sheets which contained short notes for quick revision.

?By the end of February, I had built a foundation under the guidance and support of my mentor, Shivam Ramdhani. To solidify my knowledge before moving on, I used to read articles provided by W3Schools Tutorial and also by FreeCodeCamp.

And As i step into March ,with the help of ChatGPT and Google search, I practiced coding more programs on Codex and you can go through my GitHub? profile where I showcase my programs and contributions.

My journey didn't stop there. In April, I embarked on building my foundation in C++, an extension of C. While C++ shares similarities with C, it also has its own complexities.

Although I initially learned it smoothly under the guidance of Abdul Bari Sir who is a CEO in NBH Infotech,Osmania University and and a tutor on UDEMY and with his course on Udemy platform on C++, with lectures they also provide interesting exercises related to every topic, with time, I again encountered obstacles in the form of new concepts and challenges. I addressed these by dedicating myself to further practice. I am still honing my skills to strengthen my knowledge base.

?In addition to C++, I am also learning Data Structures and Algorithms. I am concurrently learning and practicing Microsoft Excel on a daily basis. Excel is a valuable skill for organizing and analyzing data efficiently which is crucial for my work and personal projects. For these topics too, I prefer W3Schools Tutorial; it's very easy to understand and has amazing exercises for a good finish on a topic. I actively developed my problem-solving skills and enjoy tackling coding challenges.

While pursuing programming languages, I also focused on my communication skills. I used to read novels like “Build, Don't Talk” by Raj Shamani, “This is not your story” by Savi Sharma, “Everyone has a story” by Savi Sharma, “Indian Struggle for Independence” by Bipan Chandra. And to develop a good vocabulary I prefer a book named “Word Power Made Easy”.

Also,I used to read articles on Google about History of computers ,e-commerce,C, C++, DSA or? any random topics and watched BBC news. In my free time, I also learned about data analysis, product management, strategic thinking, time management, etc.I also do shadowing practice with short story videos or BBC news or with movies on youtube, which brings fluency to my speaking English.

Side by side, whenever, I feel overwhelmed, I play Sudoku and cross math which helps me to sharpen my mind as well as enhance logical thinking and it also helps me to divert my mind which always keeps me positive.

With all these, I also practice basic mathematics with the Indiabix Questions series.

And to keep myself updated, I also created profiles on LinkedIn as well as on Internshala to grab more opportunities.Things my journey has taught me are:

  1. Time management plays a vital role, so stay well organized with your work and always make a to-do list before you sleep.
  2. Stop procrastination. Kindly accomplish your work on time.
  3. Hard work and consistency are the only keys to success.
  4. Take proper rest and eat healthily, and stay healthy to keep you positive.
  5. Keep a record of your work which helps you to trace your progress.
  6. Develop other skills like Problem-Solving, Critical-Thinking, Creativity, Decision-Making, Attention to details, etc.
  7. Build connections on LinkedIn, so for any doubt, you can approach your connections too.

This is my coding journey, and I'm very excited about new opportunities. I'm eager to add new challenges to my learning path and achieve my goals!

Connect with me on LinkedIn to stay updated on my latest progress and professional journey.??

????I extend my deepest gratitude to Abdul Bari sir, Saurabh Shukla sir and Shivam Ramdhani for their support and guidance in this journey to learn C,C++,DSA, and MS-Excel.

Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable, shaping my understanding and skills in a profound way. I’m truly thankful for their mentorship, which has made a significant difference in my learning experience.?
