These Lessons Can Be Life Altering for You

These Lessons Can Be Life Altering for You

Lessons from the Everest Base Camp trip of the past three Weeks by Dinesh Chandra , CEO of Global Wellbeing Network

  1. Embrace Your Own Pace: Life is not a race. Don’t compete with others—find your own sustainable rhythm. We are all unique, with a divine purpose and a distinct dream.
  2. Stretch Your Limits: Growth happens when we push beyond our comfort zones. Maslow called it self-actualization—the journey toward realizing your full potential.
  3. Surrender Ego, Embrace Grace: True progress comes when we let go of ego. It’s grace that carries us toward our purpose, not pride.
  4. Value Both the Swift and the Steady: Whether you’re a rabbit or a turtle, both have their place. While rabbits may be fast, turtles live long and meaningful lives.
  5. Practice Gratitude and Compassion: Be grateful and kind to all you meet on this journey of life. Everyone has something to teach us.
  6. Start Each Day with Gratitude: Reframe every morning with a mindset of gratitude. People are kind and lovable, no matter where in the world you are.
  7. When Exhausted, Focus on One Step: When you feel like you can’t go on, just focus on taking one more step. Your body will follow, your mind like a zombie.
  8. Trust the Universe’s Plan: Have confidence in yourself. If you achieve what you set out to, great. But if you don’t, it’s probably because the universe has something better aligned for you.
  9. Dream Big and Act: Dream large, but also pay attention to those who show up along the way. Prepare, act, and let go—allow the process to unfold.
  10. Accept What You Can’t Control: Outcomes are beyond our control, but our actions aren’t. So, surrender, smile, and embrace today—you’re alive, with another opportunity to move closer to your dreams.
