Lesson learned for PfMP aspirants

By the grace of almighty Allah, I would like to announce that I passed PfMP exam “Portfolio Management Professional” on 31 October 2020, becoming one of the 900+ globally certified Portfolio Management Professional and the second person in Bangladesh.

Special thanks to my trainer Jitesh Goswami for his valuable training material, and support. His QB helps me a lot to clear the exam successfully.

Many Thanks to Dharam Singh, CEO PgMP,PfMP, PMP, RMP, ACP, PBA, RIYAD ALMALLAK, PgMCerty and Late Dr.Ginger Levin for their QB.

Also thanks to Harisha Lakkavalli - PgMP, PMP, PfMP for his support during application development.

The exam preparation process was challenging but rewarding.

Preparation Materials:

·      SPfMv3

·      PM Certy training material & QB

·    “PfMP Exam, Practice Test and Study Guide” by Dr. Ginger Levin.

·      Dharam Singh QB & Pathfinder

·      PgM Certy QB

·      Riyadh AlMallik QB

Panel Review:

The panel review takes 45 days to complete their review. Finally, got a mail from PMI “Congratulations! You have successfully completed the first evaluation, the Panel review, for the Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP)? credential”.

The application submission was not challenging for me as I completed PgMP before. Also thanks to Harish for his guidance for application development.

Exam Questions Style:

I really surprised to see the exam questions during my exam. I found 1 to 2 line questions almost 100, 3 to 4 lines questions 65, and 5 to 6 lines questions 5. No bigger scenario came in my exam.

However, I faced most of the tricky questions. Key terms lies in 1 or 2 words, and need to read all answers. Most of the answers has two portion and I found one portion was wrong. I managed the time management very well and completed exam within 2 hours 40 minutes. Finally, my screen appeared “Congratulations” ·

3 to 4 questions from ECO.

8 to 10 questions came from ITTO.

3 to 4 questions came from CPI, SPI, NPV, ROI calculation.

The questions were covering each and every PfMP domain. Read carefully SPfMv3 book.

Good luck to all PfMP aspirants.
