Thank you to the 4 Community Members (Cris, Danielle, Rae & Sophia) who asked me to share the other lessons learned here in the group. I blushed because it means you care and my journey is resonating with you. ALSO, I didn't put a link to how to join our email list on the last newsletter (LOL, there's that) - Work in Progress!
Hey Y'all,
By now, you probably know that avoiding and/or recovering from Burnout is a subject I am extremely passionate about.? Especially for entrepreneurs who also have full-time employment.
If I had one bit of advice to share about my revelation on the cruise, it would be...
Thing #2: It is okay to enjoy your life even while SHIT ?? is happening all around you. Enjoy every single minute of your life (the sadness and the joy). No matter what life throws your way, find the joy and/or the lesson.?
While on my reflection and relaxation cruise, several misfortunes occurred. On the first night of the cruise a friend of 20+ years transitioned from this world (I miss her??). On the second day, I ate something that had me cabin side most of the evening.
AND, if you read part one of the series you know I had SUNBURN by day two.
On the third day of the cruise, Costa Maya and my allergies did not play well together and days 3 & 4, I spent blowing my nose, snotty, headachy, and drinking lots of water!
Now that sounds like I had a horrible experience. Guess what, I didn't. I completely enjoyed being away from responsibility and not having to answer to anyone but myself. I gave myself permission to cry, grieve, scream, laugh, and stare at the ocean. Yes, some of the circumstances were uncomfortable, yet, I still found a way to enjoy my vacation.

Lesson Learned - Revelation:
Incorporate your business and/or work into your life in a way that feels authentic. Your life is living art that is constantly evolving, telling a story, and finding solutions. Find ways to enjoy your circumstances and share your journey/revelations with others.
I learned during my cruise that everything would be fine while I was gone for 5 days. Everything WAS fine as I grieved, sunburned, and looked like a walking tissue box (cool fact: I was a walking tissue box for Halloween when I was 9).??
Why? Because, I planned for what I could and was willing to let go and ask for help. One of the best decisions I ever made was to contract an Executive Assistant to communicate expectations, follow up with clients, and address scheduling concerns.?
I’ve learned that just as you prioritize your business, clients, and family, you’ve to remember to prioritize yourself first and that requires these important things: rest, relaxation, reflection and GRACE. All of that is up to you.??
You set the standard for the life you want to have.? You set the barometer for what gets accomplished when and why.? The variables of the “how” are sometimes out of your control, so learn to be nimble and flow.? As long as you achieve your desired outcomes…
YOU ARE A WINNER!

1 年The walking tissue box got me ??. So true that you gotta find the joys within the pains, and when you do, stress automatically slows down. I’m completely enjoying the glow of these. Keep ‘em coming.
