Lesson learned from 3 Masters of Success!

Some weeks ago i followed Tirana Summit, a conference that put in the big stage of Pallati i Kongreseve some brilliant minds and successful people who allele you have the chance to listen to them in one single day!?

I love going to conferences, for the vibe you get there, for the content that is shared on the stage, and for the interaction that is happening during the breaks.?

Since 2015, we have been able to partner with almost every activity related to Startup & Scale-up Businesses, Innovation &? Education with Business Magazine Albania . And that has changed a lot the way that we act and interact in our daily business and everyday life. We have absorbed a lot of awesome perspectives on how we operate our business and embraced the continuous growth mindset as part of our organizational culture.??

This time was even better as the event itself had the main theme ”The Growth Mindset” and on the stage were 3 amazing speakers like Mr. Vasil Na?i , Mr. Avinash Ananda & “The Wolf” himself, Mr. Jordan Belfort ?

Through this newsletter, I would like to share some of the key learnings I got from the full-day event which I got in writing in my notebook.?

As Mr. Richard Branson always says:?

“Writing things down keeps you focused and makes sure you don’t forget great ideas,”.

The art of Influencing & Negotiations

Mr. Vasil Naci was the opening keynote and he described that we try to influence every day and the sources of influence are:

Media; the government; family; business; education; religion; art; Technology where the most important influencer of them all is Business. So as business persons, we need to learn how to better influence people around us: business partners; our teams; our customers; our suppliers and other stakeholders as well.?

In order to influence there are 3 things we should understand:

  1. What have we done for other people?

You have to Give something to others, as life is what we give. What we give to other people remains with us.?

2. What is our level of trust; how credible we are to them?

If we have a great personality, and expertise & we care for them people will trust us.?

We can add to that our good intentions; similar & shared goals; dedication; emotions and results = Success. If you are successful you have a better level of trust from others.?

3. Who we are - Our Identity

We have to influence before we enter into a relationship. People have to know you in advance and you should care to have a likable personality; authority (not only related to the title; think when your title is gone, what remains in there?) & you should reflect the best values

If we do not have an influence, we do not have the expertise and we can not be good negotiators!?

A successful deal is when both parties of the negotiation process win. It should be a Win-Win.?

The 5 important factors in a negotiation process are:

  • Clarity & Preparation
  • Communication
  • Relationship (it has to be built before the negotiation starts). Keep in mind that You can not do good deals when you are in desperate need of having something.?
  • Personality
  • Expertise (The tactics & best Practices you have to absorb)

Mr. Vasil Naci described every step of the negotiation process and the best practices with real-life examples. Some of the key advice that i kept notes of were:

  • Never go into a negotiation meeting alone
  • Giving away something does not mean that you should forget about your costs
  • A genius negotiator is not thinking to take a bigger part of the cake, he thinks about how to make the cake bigger for both parties.?
  • In a negotiation, the best result is when both parties win. This way you have a great negotiation result and you have created a strong relationship.
  • In Business & in Life we take what we are capable to negotiate.?
  • There can’t be good deals when the other party in front of you lacks Ethics!
  • Always write down what you agree with in a negotiation. Words just spoken are often forgotten. Put everything in writing.
  • Be Well Prepared to have an advantage. Preparation gives you Power in the process as it defines 70% of the negotiation result.?
  • Be hard on achieving your objective of the negotiation, but be human in the process.?

In order to influence others you have to Master Your Mind!?

As a master in storytelling, his presentation was full of real-life stories and funny jokes so that the audience got engaged and easily absorbed the main topics from his 2 hours talk.?

In order to master our minds we have to:

  • Have an open mind to learn! We can learn from anything and anyone.
  • Have an open mind to change! Change is difficult.?
  • Be open to Feedback! We usually get defensive to feedback; when we do that, it means that we have to improve our growth mindset

Mind = Meaning = Perception??

It is we who give meaning to things and create our own perceptions/ how we see things.?

Change Your Story! Make a Positive Story!

There are 6 mind lenses that determines our perceptions:?

  1. The Past
  2. The Present
  3. The Future
  4. The Self
  5. Others
  6. Life

Change the meanings for each one of them.?

Make New Mistakes; Do not Repeat them

1 - Every time you have done a mistake, see the bright side, and ask: What is good about it?

2 - What did I Learn?

3 - What should I do next?

Make a Positive Belief. Doubt the bad things, build your beliefs as Beliefs drive Behaviours.?

Embrace Nowness! Be Calm & Energetic; Moment to moment creates positive energy. Learn to do that. Physiology affects Psychology!?

Make Sensible Decisions! Decisions Determine our Future!

Don’t Let Down your Expectations and Let’s Make Happiness Viral!


The 3rd part of the event was all about learning more from a Real Life Story, happening in the land of opportunities, with extreme ups & downs, told by a Master of Sales and Business, Mr. @Jordan Belfort.??

I, like most of the people in the audience, was really interested in understanding his way to success and his sales & business skills which he turned into a system that can be used by millions of professionals all around the globe.?

I was expecting that “the Wolf” would be an awesome speaker, but listening to him on stage was really an extraordinary experience. It was the perfect mix of great content & amazing speaking skills! ?

As he was trying to better connect with the audience by asking questions like “why are you here? - I guess because you want to be rich”, he did not forget to mention some of the quotes in the “Wolf of Wallstreet” Movie:

I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor, and I choose rich every time.?        

He started by saying that he has done research on Albania and he claimed that every country has its moments, but Albania is on a dramatic rise in the next 10 - 15 years. And it should be a country in growth if we do the right things!

As with everything in life, Success has 2 sides:

Inner World of Success & Outer Game of Success! All You have to to is learn how to play those games.?

The Inner World of success has 4 Distinctions:

  1. Your State of Mind.?

Are you Empowered or DisEmpowered? Sales = Transferring emotions! Manage your state, Get yourself in a Positive state whenever you have key moments in Business!

2. Your Belief Systems. Do you have empowering or disempowering beliefs? You should Not be someone who thinks that the World happens to me!?

3. Vision Focus. What is your vision for the Future? Always ask: Why does it matter, as the Why is the Power of the vision. You have to learn how to keep focused on the vision.?

  1. Your Standards. Ask, What is your Standard? Know your standards of success.?

Who was the richest person in the world??


Mother Theresa was. Her currency was love = Unconditional Love. 
She had a strong Why. 
The Why is not About You, it is for someone 
who You Love Unconditionally. It is Bigger than You.?        

If you set high standards + you are willing to do the work + you have the vision for yourself = You Become Unstoppable.?

The Outer Game of Succes 4 Distinctions

  1. Know the Rules & Strategies of the Entrepreneurs. Fail Elegantly & Succeed Wildly.?
  2. Learn Marketing. Everything is a Funnel.?
  3. Sales & Persuasion
  4. Multiple Streams of Income. What do you do with the money that you earn??

The difference between the Rich & The Wealthy:?

  • The Rich have money
  • The Wealthy Have Money + Time

In the first part of his presentation, he shared his life story, his first steps as a salesperson, how he understood the skills that he had to persuade people and what were his failures and mistakes. How he learned from them and how he understood that he had to learn the rules of business and find a meaningful Why in order to rise up to a new different journey of success.?

In his presentation, he went on to explain each of the distinctions and how they all integrate into a successful system for a successful business.?

That is all I can share with you today through this newsletter, with a lot of learning from my previous 2 weeks!?
