Less is less or more. It has always been discussed on many occasions to establish that a happy life requires less or more. Bruce Lee has mentioned that “Less is more." Leo Babauta has published a book named as “The Power of Less” The Fine Art of Limiting Yourself. The Less makes life simple, mindful, kind, gentle, amplify productivity, and clarifies focus for a meaningful existence on the earth. Less is so powerful that “Less is Compulsory to All” for self-happiness and spreading happiness in the Universe.
#Accept Less
Accept the existing situation, as it is one of the best principles of a happy life. Life doesn’t always demand more. More is required to fufill the desire. Desire never ends; one complete next is on the due list. A big list of items is required for the life. However, life is beyond the materials. I want everything with me; whatever is available is on the earth distracts you from the goal. Many things at a time distract from the right direction of the objectives. Few things allow you to focus clearly with great clarity to achieve the target like Arjun in Mahabharat to target eye of bird. Happiness couldn't be achieved by having more and more. More demands the more and more never become more. Accept having less, which is sufficient.
#Establish Core Values and Priorities
Having less establishes your core values and priorities to achieve in the life. Core values of the life such as compassion, integrity, gratitude, honesty, creativity, generosity, courage, discipline, etc. make your life meaningful. On one side, the more confusion and uncertainties for the requirements keep you away from the happiness, and on the other side, the less identifies the true essentials. Priority engages you, your time and energy in such a manner that you don’t have time for being unhappy. Your energy is channeled in such a manner that your thoughts are always positive to achieve your life goals effectively. By determining your core values and priorities, you can allocate your time and energy more effectively, leading to a more fulfilling life.
#Setting Limits
A system without limits is observed to be amazing, but productivity may not visible. Setting limits transform to increase productivity at the workplace and in personal life. Setting limits simplifies things to manage in the better ways, and it focuses your your potential. Working in too many areas and on too many things distorts your mind in multiple directions and distracts the priorities. Effective utilization of less time and energy provides you success. The success makes you satisfied. A satisfied person is consistently happy and spreads the happiness.
Light from a 100-watt light bulb reaches around 8 meters, whereas light from a laser torch of 100 watts reaches around 3000 meters. This is a practical example of focusing light energy in proper ways such that it reaches 375 times the higher distance.
#Learn to Say No
Unless the priority list of the essentials is not ready, you will say “yes” to everything. But keep in mind that everything takes its own time to complete, and you don’t have so much time beyond 24 hours. Every person has a big list of priorities: self, family, kids, society, social media, religion, sports, outings, writing, learning, etc. If you see your mandatory list items, you find that you don’t have a single moment for anything else. Saying “no” is not the ignorance of request/assignment. Saying no with honesty after analyzing the priority list doesn’t have any obscurity. It is fixed with the essential list. People like and respect the person who fulfills commitments within a time frame, not just saying “yes” for everything but doesn’t even begin.

#Make Simple
Make life very simple by developing and reviewing the priority list, taking a few tasks, making a gap between tasks, removing non-essential tasks, enjoying each task, keeping away stress, having free time, and sometimes having no tasks. Making routine task lists that can be accomplished without hurry and stress on a regular basis is the right priority list. No task should disturb your daily routine commitments. Commitments should be manageable enough in the time and energy domains and provide mental fitness. Such a straightforward selection/ rejection of the tasks and examination for the priority will make your life meaningful, joyful, and happy.
#One Task at a Time
Task management in life should be in such a manner that one goal at a time, i.e., single-tasking rather than multi-tasking. The focus should be on a single task at a time and apply all the energy to its completion. Always remember the difference between a “laser torch and a light bulb." During the accomplishment of the task, it is more important that you are always present during the task. Enjoying life with the task is more important than any how the accomplishment. Giving 100% to the task leads to higher-quality work with a greater sense of accomplishment. Multiple tasking distributes your attention and compromises the quality of the task first and then the quality of your life. The success rate of completion increases with one task at a time. Your success brings happiness to you and spreads happiness among your connected personnel.?
#Free from Stress
Doing less and using a priority list in your daily life keeps you in the present. Your presence in the present establishes proper connections with the task, family, workplace, relatives, friends, society, etc. Doing less is so powerful that it synchronizes your actions with your presence on earth,?and you make planned choices. By doing less, you go through the real sense of life, appreciate life, and experience being always happy. You are found to be free from stress, which nurtures mindfulness by focusing on what truly matters.
#Gentleness and Kindness
Gentleness reflects in you when you are doing fewer tasks or a single task at a time. Your complete attention to the task or goal keeping you cool and calm as opposed to stressed during the multi-tasking. As you are cool and calm, you are self-kind and kind to others. A kind person is clear in goals and the communication. You will find your life purposeful with joy and the happiness. Actually, now you live a mindful and happy life and endlessly spreads the happiness.
