In the last 24 months, we’ve been bombarded by a new trend almost every other week, each one hailed as the next game-changer.
Whether it’s AI-driven personalization, the rise of TikTok-style videos, or social commerce taking over our feeds, we’re constantly being pushed to adapt, evolve, and somehow stay ahead of the curve.
The Marketing Maze
So, what do we have to play at hand? To name a few -
???????????????????? ???????????????????????? (????) ?????? ????????????????????: AI is revolutionizing content creation, campaign analysis, and consumer behavior prediction. It’s already being used by 64% of marketers and growing rapidly.
??????????-???????? ?????????? ??????????????: Quick, engaging videos such as those on TikTok are dominating social media
????????-?????????????????? ?????????????? (??????): Leveraging consumer-created content is now a key strategy for building brand authenticity and community engagement.
???????????????????????? ??????????????????: Tailoring messages and offers based on individual preferences driven by AI and machine learning.
???????????????????? ?????????????????? ????????????????????: Long-term partnerships with influencers have become standard practice.
???????????????????????????? ??????????????????: AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants are facilitating real-time consumer interaction, providing instant engagement.
???????????? ????????????????: Brands can sell directly with e-commerce features integrated social media platforms.
?????????????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ??????????????????: Consumers are increasingly drawn to brands that demonstrate responsibility and practices that align with sustainable and ethical values.
?????? ?????????????? ???????????????? ??????????????????: The shift from traditional SEO to diverse content types (like video and audio) is growing.
?????????????????? ????????????????: Creating communities around shared values, driving deeper connections and brand loyalty.
These add layers of complexity to an already information overloaded world. It can feel overwhelming.
We see marketers and business owners in a perpetual game of catch-up.
When I wrote Not a Marketing Textbook, I focused on one core principle -
Simplification
My goal was to strip away the fluff and help businesses focus on what truly matters.
In today’s world of endless marketing noise, we don’t need more; we need less—but more effective.
So, how do you know which trends to focus on?

The LESS Filter
To help navigate this chaos, may I offer a simple yet powerful filter: LESS.
This could help you tackle the marketing trends—without getting lost in the whirlwind.
?? - ???????????????? ???????? ???????? ??????????????????
Ask Yourself: Which trend fits my business's strengths and audience?
Focus on what aligns with your brand's strengths. If your business shines in storytelling, stick to trends like user-generated content or short-form videos that boost that strength.
?? - ???????????????? ???????????? ????. ????????????
Ask Yourself: Which trends give the best results with the least effort?
Focus on high-impact, low-effort strategies like AI for personalized marketing, and skip the ones that require too much effort for little payoff.
?? - ???????????????????? ??????????????????
Ask Yourself: How can I make this trend work without complicating things?
Once you pick the right trend, integrate it into your current workflow. Use tools like AI to automate tasks or repurpose content for short-form videos without overhauling your entire strategy.
?? - ???????? ?????????????????? & ??????????????????
Ask Yourself: Does this trend fit into my long-term goals?
Be picky.
Only choose trends that align with your long-term goals, whether it’s building brand loyalty or driving growth.
The Trap of Trend-Chasing
In the spirit of 'driving business' instead of 'doing marketing", the more critical question to ask is -
“Is this really moving the needle?”
Trying to do it all means you end up doing nothing really well.
Less is More.
And sometimes, the smartest move is to stop doing more and start doing what works.
