Less Can Sometimes Be More!

How many times have you made a new year’s resolution and the very next day reneged on your bucket list? If you have ever been down that path, you are not alone. Many of us are open to changing different aspects of our lives but have trouble committing to a seemingly daunting undertaking.
Perhaps you have been looking at it all wrong; perhaps rather than focusing on the big, radical change, you should break down the process into smaller steps. For example, if you want to start your day earlier, go to bed early or set your alarm 30 minutes earlier. Since you won’t lose weight overnight, why don’t you exercise 30 minutes daily as opposed to 2 hours once a week? Or perhaps drink a glass of water every couple of hours instead of a gallon every 2 days.
Sounds ridiculous right? You’d be surprised the extremes people go to, to make up for lost opportunities and their misplaced priorities.
The most important thing to note is that any small change leads to even more change, as long as you stick with it, but doing nothing at all keeps you stuck! Making small changes consistently helps you build momentum and become more capable of making bigger changes effortlessly. Also remember that “Repetition is the key to lasting impression”.
So, do you have a big change you'd like to see in your life? I encourage you to make small changes today. They will produce big results tomorrow.
