Some of the greatest influencers I know own their own aesthetic brands.

In my own experience, immense opportunities have come from me putting myself out there online, forming connections and having that lead to business opportunity!

I remember during the pandemic, December of 2020, I started my podcast, and I didn't know what I was doing. I am an extrovert and I was ready to learn some new creative skills that allowed for connection since I was losing my position as a music director due to pandemic downsizing and of course no singing.

Here are five reasons why you should consider becoming a "media company of one."

1. Boosting Personal Brand

By creating your own media content, you can effectively build your personal brand. This can include blog posts, videos, podcasts, or social media posts about your work and expertise in the field of medical aesthetics.

A robust personal brand can make you stand out in your field, attract more clients, and open up opportunities for collaborations and partnerships.

2. Sharing Knowledge

As a professional in the medical aesthetics field, you possess specialized knowledge that others can benefit from. By becoming a media company of one, you can share your insights, experience, and tips to a wider audience. Thought leadership is everything and you should tap into what you know!

3. Engaging with Your Audience

Traditional media often presents a one-way flow of information, but as your own media company, you can foster a two-way dialogue with your audience. Engaging directly with your audience can help you understand their needs, expectations, and concerns better. If you can't do it? Hire someone INTERNALLY to do it.

4. Controlling Your Narrative

Being a media company of one puts you in control of your own narrative. You can shape how you and your work are presented, ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the information shared. This can be especially crucial in a field like medical aesthetics, where misinformation can lead to unrealistic expectations or unwarranted fears among clients.

5. Cost-Effective Marketing

Lastly, creating your own media content is a cost-effective marketing strategy. High-quality, engaging content can attract organic traffic, leads, and conversions. Moreover, it's a sustainable strategy, as your content stays online and keeps working for you long after it's been published.

So empower yourself, move forward and start creating. Or you will be left behind as a consumer only.

Point 4 is spot on. The narrative = "Optics". Have your optics represent your reality is a tenet to live by.
