Today has been a very growth oriented day for me. My time spent on LinkedIn opens up a world of opportunities to learn, to help, to laugh, to write, to read, to share, to support, to console, to connect, and to form wonderful friendships.
LinkedIn may have had as its original intent, a platform for many who are seeking employment opportunities. It may have begun as a business platform, however, as the world interests expand so has LinkedIn.
There is no going back to the way it was, as our world is constantly growing, changing direction and evolving; while so many continue to seek employment, change careers or return to the work force, we seem to take pleasure in learning about each other’s interests outside of work centered posts and articles.
In the midst of reading wonderful content, we are able to find a world of people with many additional shared interests.
Great content brings with it great conversation.
LinkedIn has become much more than a business platform; it has become a social platform as well. There is power in unity; there is power in numbers; there is power in knowledge; there is power in support and there is power in happiness.
We are each on the LinkedIn platform for our own reasons. It is this platform, which brings so many together, oftentimes, out of sheer coincidence.
While LinkedIn is a global community, it consistently amazes me as to how small a world we all live in.
“Only when our clever brain and our human heart work together in harmony can we achieve our full potential.” – JANE GOODALL
After all, is this not what we are all seeking?

5 年You are right. There's no going back. I feel like social media and me are one sometimes. I try to remember what life was like before the internet and when the only people with cell phones were those who were rich. Social media has many benefits like the friendships I have made with people like you. But it can be a challenge to find that balance.
