Transwing
This month, we are delighted to announce Transwing as a member of the Leon community.??
Transwing provides a diverse range of aircraft and services, with a particular emphasis on aircraft management. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, they have access to over 44,000 airports and regional airfields worldwide. Some of their most popular destinations include Cannes, Mallorca, Mykonos, and many more. With Transwing, there is no need for check-in or waiting for luggage – simply arriving at the airport 15 minutes before departure is sufficient.?Their fleet currently has one M2 and they're planning to phase-in two brand new M2s this summer.
By incorporating Leon Software into its daily operations, Transwing seeks to streamline its fleet and crew management, ensuring even greater efficiency. We are excited to support them on this journey and contribute to their continued success.
Buraq Air
We are also excited to welcome Buraq Air into the Leon community.
Buraq Air, Libya's first private airline, was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Tripoli. The airline operates a small international scheduled network, supplemented by charter services and flights using a fleet that comprises several Boeing aircraft, including the 737-400, 737-500, and 737-800 models.? Committed to a sustainable future, Buraq Air has established management principles that include improving flight procedures to reduce noise and reviewing energy use while taxiing.
Buraq Air aims to achieve greater efficiency in its fleet and crew management by integrating Leon Software into its daily operations. We're thrilled to be part of their journey and look forward to contributing to their ongoing success.
Part-IS Workshop
As part of NERD.aero 's efforts to raise awareness of the implementation of Part-IS, they are highlighting companies that prioritise cybersecurity. We are honoured to have been selected as one of them.
Leon Software has obtained ISO/IEC 27001 & 27018 certifications, and as security is one of our core values, we continuously develop new features to keep your data safe. These include single-tenant architecture, secure API integrations, two-factor authentication (2FA), data privacy controls, and granular user permissions. Every October, we dedicate our social media presence to Cybersecurity Month, showcasing our solutions, explaining their significance, and promoting the importance of safe practices.??
NERD.aero continues its mission to support operators in navigating compliance by hosting a practical, in-person workshop on Part-IS on 29–30 April in Barcelona, Spain. Attendees will participate in interactive sessions focused on the practical application of Part-IS regulations and risk management strategies, gain insights from industry experts, and more.
HADID
HADID International Services is a leading global provider of aviation solutions, offering a comprehensive range of services, including ground handling, fuelling, flight dispatch, permits, and FBO management. Their diverse clientele includes commercial airlines, private operators, business leaders, heads of state, and government agencies. In addition, Hadid has developed COMPASS, an advanced in-house flight management and CRM platform capable of managing thousands of flights worldwide.??
The integration between Leon Software and HADID’s COMPASS system enhances operational efficiency by leveraging the existing data from Leon, which serves as the central data hub of critical information about flight operations. Through secure, real-time synchronisation, Leon Software can seamlessly transmit selected data to external systems -? such is the case with the HADID COMPASS integration. It ensures that flight support services are planned using the most up-to-date information directly from Leon, reducing the risk of discrepancies and outdated data.??
This collaboration results in improved operational efficiency, minimised errors, and a significant reduction in coordination efforts. By integrating flight support services with core flight management software, operators are relieved of the burden of manually transferring data between systems, streamlining workflows and eliminating unnecessary administrative workload.
World Kinect Corporation
World Fuel Services , a World Kinect company, supplies and delivers liquid fuels, operational services, technology, renewable energy, and other sustainability solutions through its marine and aviation divisions. Operators rely on the company's round-the-clock global supply of aviation fuel – including jet fuel, JET A-1, and AVGAS – alongside a comprehensive range of complementary services.
Behind these services lies a vast amount of data which, when effectively harnessed, can drive significant operational efficiencies. Information such as available fuel suppliers, current prices, and key details – including FBO/merchant specifics, accepted payment cards, network affiliations, and rewards programmes – plays a crucial role in flight planning. By digitising and sharing this data, World Kinect Corporation empowers fleet owners to make swift, data-driven decisions.
The integration between Leon Software and World Fuel allows operators to retrieve fuel prices directly via the API, eliminating the need to manually upload CSV or XLS files. This automation reduces administrative workload and ensures that operators always have access to the latest pricing data. The ultimate aim is to position Leon as the central hub for all essential operational information required by airline operators.
Scheduled Maintenance from OPS Views
You can now create and manage Scheduled Maintenance directly from the Table, Timeline and Calendar views of the OPS module. This functionality mirrors the aircraft reservation process, providing a more streamline workflow for maintenance planning. There are two ways of creating new maintenance entries. You can either right-click the desired time slot and select Add maintenance from the context menu. When creating a new entry, the system will automatically set the start date based on the selected day in the Calendar and Timeline views. The other way is to simply click the New maintenance button, located in the bottom panel.
Swapping Crew
The OPS Timeline view includes the Swap Crew feature, which allows Leon users to efficiently reassign crews between two aircrafts of the same type. To do it, one must select flights assigned to two different aircraft by holding the Ctrl key. After selecting the desired flights, right-click to open the context menu and choose the Swap Crew option. This feature is only available for aircraft of the same type. If flights from aircraft of different types are selected, the option remains inactive, and a tooltip appears, explaining why the swap cannot be performed.
Copying settings from other group of Privileges
A new feature has been implemented in the Privileges editing view, which allows operators to copy settings between privilege groups. When accessing the Privileges Details tab, you'll notice a new Copy from dropdown field. This field enables you to select any existing privilege group as a source for copying. The copying process includes details, aircraft settings and all elements from the Settings tab. These elements will be transferred comprehensively from the selected source group to your current group. The feature streamlines the process of setting up new privilege groups or modifying existing ones, by eliminating the need to manually recreate multiple settings across different sections.
Until next time!
