The Leinster Hotel - In Focus
Pure Fitout
Our expertise in manufacturing and installation turns our clients’ vision into reality.
Situated in the heart of Georgian Dublin, barely a stone’s throw away from Oscar Wilde’s family home, St Stephen’s Green, Trinity College and the National Gallery - The Leinster hotel has undergone a magnificent and highly anticipated transformation.
A former nightclub that had fallen into such a shocking state of disrepair, it was given permission to be knocked down and a new building constructed on the spot.
The Leinster’s location in the bustling, artsy Merrion Square meant it was brimming with potential once it fell into the right hands.
In early 2024, the brand new, 55 bed Leinster hotel opened its doors and has announced itself emphatically as one of the most popular spots in the City.
In late 2021, the demolition and pre-construction phase was completed by our sister company Pure Construction . In the early months of the following year, structural works commenced and by the summer, the ground and second floor construction was complete.
By the end of the year, construction ramped up and the third and fourth floors along with the rooftop (soon to be home to the gorgeous Jean-Georges restaurant and bar) was structurally complete.
Early 2023 saw the incorporation of a remarkable, structural marvel in the shape of a spectacular precast concrete facade.
To enhance the relationship with its historical context, the design incorporated the retention of a section of an original shopfront facing onto Stephen’s Place.
In addition, the brickwork facades were finished using a lime slurry render, referencing historic building practices once common in this part of the city.
Once construction had been completed, the fitout phase of the project began in mid 2023. Created by Marie Smyckova of O'Donnell O'Neill Design and brought to life by Pure Fitout , the rooms are “elegant, sophisticated but comfortable with pops of bold colour.”
The vivid style is eye catching with everything, right down to the bathroom tiles, bedside tables and Dalmatian spotted carpets being thought of.

Even the hallways have been meticulously designed with specifically curated artwork adorning the walls, a playful spotty carpet running throughout the building and the ceilings doubling up as mirrors!
Sitting sky-high on the fifth floor, Jean-Georges’ innovative concept rooftop restaurant and bar is an open-plan space that is elegant but easy-going with an abundance of natural light, as well as unspoiled views across the city from the terrace. The stunning bespoke bar itself was designed, manufactured and installed by Pure Fitout’s experienced and talented joinery fabrication team.
Last (for now) but certainly not least, is the chic Collins Club, a vibrant cocktail bar on the ground floor to the left of the entrance. With bespoke joinery and metalwork by Pure Fitout including the bar, the Collins Club is an intimate but edgy space with moody lighting, eclectic colours and pattern furniture.
The last phase of the project to get underway is the addition of a brand new Power Gym & Spa with works currently underway by our project delivery team.
Pure Fitout were thrilled to be named main contractor for both the construction and fitout phases of this magnificent project.
We would like to thank each and every member of our own team who made it possible and the talented teams from O’Donnell O’Neill Design, JJ Campbell and Associates , Henchion-Reuter Architects and everyone else who has been part of this phenomenal journey.

Wow! I wish you were closer to Cheshire and had interest in Heritage projects. I have an off-portals Grade 1 listed opportunity (previously an award winning restaurant) and one of only two buildings to survive the Great fire of Nantwich. It would be incredible with this kind of buyer and vision. Comes with separate owners accommodation too
