Introducing WEOZ

We’re always looking for ways to support the creation of sustainable, safe and comfortable buildings. It’s this commitment that has driven the launch of WEOZ, the intelligent building manager.

By harnessing the power of the IoT, it is possible to keep the well-being of occupants front-of-mind at all times. Whether they are students in an education setting, shoppers in a retail setting, or staff in an office building, WEOZ allows for monitoring and control of key features like heating, air conditioning and lighting.

The enhanced system integration and control means that facilities managers can achieve greater levels of energy efficiency while maintaining occupant comfort and safety.

Fire stopping CPD

The most important part of any cable management project is safety and it’s important to know that, even if a fire breaks out, the components in place will help keep people safe.

Our CPD, ‘Fire stopping: Breaking the cycle of non-compliance ’, discusses fire containment and protection, types of fire stopping systems, cable moves, adds and changes, along with much more.

The one-hour session will go into the factors involved to achieve successful fire protection, give an overview of types of cable pathway fire stopping systems, and untangle some of the complexity around fire safety responsibilities before wrapping up with a Q&A.

The session can be attended in person at our Birmingham and Wembley offices, remotely online, or can be given at your own office.

Legrand in the news

With plans currently being put in place to phase out sales of petrol and diesel cars in the next ten years, the electric vehicle market is growing rapidly.

This upswing in EV adoption presents a challenge for facilities managers and charge point operators as the electricity demand of EVs can be more than current infrastructure can handle.

To help with the transition to greener transport, we have released our white paper Powering the Zero Emissions Transition which discusses supply and load sharing, equipment quality and interoperability, as well as steps that can be taken now to prepare for incoming regulation changes.
