Legend of Eurovent: Andy Bijmans

Eurovent was pleased to give Andy Bijmans , Manager Development & Support at Systemair Group , the ‘Best Team Coordination’ honorary award in recognition of his devotion, commitment, and invaluable contribution to the European HVACR industry.

Andy Bijmans graduated at the institute of technology in 1993 and joined the military service for one year. He started his career in the HVACR industry in 1994, by joining the R&D department of the then Holland Heating, a subsidiary of Carrier which was later acquired by Systemair B.V.?Andy has been in the company since he joined and during the course of his career, he has had three employers without switching to different organisations. As the Manager development and Support at Systemair and Vice-Chairman of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Handling Units’ (PG-AHU), he has acquired vast knowledge in the HVAC sector particularly air handling units. He mentions that the credit towards his experience and understanding the depths of HVAC can also be rewarded to his former colleague Kees Van Haperen, the former Eurovent PG-AHU Chairman.

Andy supports Martin Lenz in leading the PG-AHU as the group’s Vice-Chairman. PG-AHU has significantly evolved and expanded its scope of activities and has become the largest and most active Product Group in the Eurovent landscape. Andy and Martin have jointly received the ‘Best Team Coordination’ honorary award for this cause.
