In full transparency, this message was originally shared with my email community. The feedback was so powerful and the content so crucial, that I knew I had to extend it to you, even if you’re not on my weekly email list. This information is simply too valuable to keep to ourselves.
I lost my sister-friend two weeks ago after she bravely battled a health challenge. My heart is heavy with sadness, yet at peace, knowing we shared over two decades of beautiful sisterhood.
Since her transition to heaven, I’ve dedicated myself to honoring her memory through her memorial and homegoing service, reflecting on the woman of faith, integrity, and excellence she was. My communication skills proved invaluable as I wrote her obituary and program, and even in sharing the news of her passing with those who called.
?During this time, I had a revelation that I’ve often spoken about but witnessed in a profound way.
?My sister, Capresha, impact is undeniable, seen in the outpouring of condolences and heartfelt posts. For years, I encouraged her to show up on social media. She eventually said yes and created a private Facebook community. After some gentle nudging, she began hosting a morning devotional called “In His Presence.”
?Following her passing, I noticed an increase in viewership for her last Bible study video just two weeks before she left us. And then it struck me. I've always believed it, but now I see it: we create content for legacy. There is no greater time for storytelling than now. My friend may be gone, but her legacy lives on through her final words and previous videos, offering comfort, guidance, and the chance to hear her voice again.
Here’s why your video content matters:
?1. Enduring Impact: The stories you share today will resonate and provide value for years to come, leaving a lasting impression.
2. Legacy of Love: Your voice can continue to inspire and guide others, even when you're no longer here to speak directly.

3. Timeless Connection: Video content creates a bridge to the past, allowing your loved ones and followers to revisit your wisdom, humor, and teachings.
?Now is the time to embrace storytelling through video. Share your message, your insights, and your heart with the world. Your legacy begins with the videos you create today.
?While going through her things, I found a journal outlining all her morning live video devotionals. Yet another treasure trove of content that can be repurposed to keep her legacy and voice alive in the world.
?So why aren’t you creating videos to keep your vision alive for generations to come?
?Your video content is the gift you leave behind.
Imagine future generations hearing your voice, learning from your wisdom, and being inspired by your journey. Don’t let your message go unheard. Start creating today, and let your story be a legacy that lives on.
