You get to a certain age (me: 59) and you start thinking what can I do with the time that's remaining to make a difference to the world I will surely, soon, leave behind.
When that happened to me I thought this:
One of the greatest sins of all time isn't mentioned in the Torah, Bible, New Testament, Koran or Book of Mormon.
If you believe God authored these, apparently God believed the audience, at the time, wasn't quite ready for this revelation. If you believe these were authored by humans inspired by a love of their God, apparently this sin was so deeply imbedded into their times, they just couldn't see as we do today. The sin, I speak about, is BIAS.
In every form, abstaining from speaking to, selling to, living beside, bias is horrendous.
And while we may have made substantial progress, around the world, to investigate, enforce, and punish for it. We haven't ended bias. And in hiring, it's absolutely prevalent.
The amount of definitive, published, peer reviewed research to support that we discriminate in hiring against the disabled, the young, the old, the folks from "bad" parts of town, people of color, women, military spouses and service members, new citizens, and people with marginalized sexual preferences, would could fill the internet. And then we have with each new day emotional, expressive experiential evidence found essays, articles, books, blogs, and social media produced by regular people, influencers, celebs, and even princes.
And yet, today, right now your organization is most likely engaging in bias in hiring. And likely if you have a role in hiring, you are most likely engaging in hiring bias as well.
How do I know this?
The amount of definitive, published, peer reviewed research to support that we discriminate in hiring against the disable, the young, the old, the folks from "bad" parts of town, people of color, women, military spouses and service members, new citizens, and people with marginalized sexual preferences, would could fill the internet.

I started JobMorph to do everything I could do to end #bias. In my mind, there could be no bigger obstacle to the human race than this fact that we exclude so many from opportunity and that we craft teams and organizations that mirror us rather than incorporating within them this incredible complete and truly awe-inspiring sunshine of diversity that lives amongst us on this planet.
I believed a diverse team, different from us in every way, strengthened us, made our teams better, and produced better organizations. I believed diverse hiring honored us and honored our creator.
The initial manifestation of all this thought around ending bias in hiring was to provide a platform to do it. No one was to be left behind. No one. And here we are -- with JobMorph and our incredibly amazing diverse team doing just that! serving every day 500+ paid clients! and 25,000+ members of our community!
But it's definitely not stopping there. Where we are today is just the beginning.
Thanks for supporting!
