A Legacy ...
I look at these photos, and I am reminded that this is the legacy I am now a part of. How lucky am I? ...
The men in these photos left behind a reputation of excellence. They set a foundation that would allow all others following them to continue working on what they had started, and left us with the tools that would help us continue to grow with each passing year. To say I'm thankful, would not even begin to describe my true appreciation for each of their contributions and sacrifice.
Nothing is ever perfect. I know there will always be bad days, times of frustration, doubt, and times where all I can do is worry that I am letting the people I work with down. I also realize that regardless of where a person chooses to go, those feelings will always follow. However, more often that not, I have those good days. The moments where you look around at the people you work with and realize what you truly have is a 'family'. A group of people that would do anything in the world for you. That will pick you up when you are down. That will push to you succeed when you are paralyzed with fear, scared to death of failure. A core group of individuals that would go to the ends of the earth for you, and you for them.
This is what I have, and that is exactly why I will stay right where I am until it is time for the next generation to come in and continue where we leave off.
