Leftovers Taste Better For a Reason

Leftovers taste better for a reason—they’ve already been through the fire.
They have been picked on, rejected, turned over and around, then left to die. And it is ironically that last step, when food is left to die, left to rot, left to mold, that leftovers come together and create what never could have been created by the chef.
Leftovers taste better for a reason—they’re no longer sensitive. They’re no longer pretty, no longer trying to impress. They have found that the only hope they have is in keeping themselves together, and as a result, the world is attracted to the surviving pieces of what was once whole.
I am a leftover.
Most entreprenuers are. Companies didn’t want us, relationships have been broken, hard work was never appreciated. Entrepreneurs have tried to impress others, only to find out there’s nothing they can do to be good enough. And in their last-ditch effort to survive just one more day, they found a group of people who also were left over. We encourage each other to become something that has no recipe.
If you are a leftover, welcome to the club. We are the champions, my friends.

1 个月Great analogy. And the flavors have deepened and become richer and more satisfying, too.
