Lee Kennedy Company Awarded Squantum School Project in Quincy, Massachusetts
Quincy, MA – November 2024 – Lee Kennedy Company has been selected by the City of Quincy , MA to lead the construction of the new Squantum School. Partnering with architectural firm Arrowstreet and Owner’s Project Manager PCA360, the project will deliver a Net Zero, future-ready elementary school while preserving the historic 1919 structure.
The new Squantum School will feature a two-story design incorporating the historic building while adding approximately 30,000 square feet of interior space over the existing structure. The design will transform the site to include modern educational spaces, a dedicated outdoor courtyard, and flexible classrooms that foster both traditional and hands-on learning.
In line with the City of Quincy’s sustainability goals, the school will be built to achieve Net Zero status, underscoring the city's commitment to environmentally responsible infrastructure.
Designed to support Quincy’s elementary-level curriculum, the Squantum School will feature a variety of classrooms and specialty spaces, including:

With a commitment to ensuring minimal disruption to current students, the Squantum School Project will implement modular classrooms on the tight construction site. These classrooms will enable students to continue their studies on-site, with minimal disruption, while the new building is under construction.
