Leaving Semcon
Took a while to bring myself to write this. All good things come to an end. I am leaving Semcon this week. Where we grounded industrial machine vision as a new business area together with Mats Fredrikson, Robert Eliasson, and others in our production development department. Where I met and presented for many including Volvo how we can give machines a pair of eyes to automate production (free guide available here). We studied and delivered both AI based and traditional machine vision solutions to companies such as Powercell and Ludvig Svensson.
One may ask why leave now when the business is so good? The answer lies in personal side of life. As a soon parent of two, we live far away from family. We are moving closer to them, up north in Sweden. It did not come to be viable to continue working for Semcon from up there. So it came to be a good bye instead. Thanks Semcon for these years and keep up the good work.
Business aside, I made a lot of friends at Semcon being too chatty. You people all created happy memories and interesting conversations both during and outside of working hours for me. like Bj?rn Einarsson and Mehdi Khayyami. I want to thank you all for it.
All good things come to an end. That means we out to start new ones. As far as my next story, that’s coming soon!
