Leaving Salesforce?
There’s really no good reason to be leaving Mulesoft and Salesforce as the rocket ship is in flight. The product is market-defining, the problem we solve is massive and getting bigger, the people I work with are at the top of their field and pushed me every day to be better. The last 12 years have helped define me as a person and a professional. Simply put, I’m better because I worked at Salesforce. So why change?
Well, once in a lifetime an opportunity presents itself that you just know, at the back of your mind, you’ll be kicking yourself if you turn it down. This kind of opportunity rarely occurs at the right time, so sometimes you just have to go for it, no matter the external circumstances. When Shelby Austin asked if I wanted to help her grow Arteria.ai and change the way people contract I knew it was something special. The product fundamentally solves a different problem in the CLM space, not just how we store and search our contracts, but how we can then use that data to reach agreements faster.
Working at Arteria checks so many boxes for me. We solve the contracting problem in a different, and better way. The leadership team, Shelby, Abrar, and Jonathan are some of the most impressive I know, the product is incredible, and the problem is real. After deliberation with my family, we made the decision to jump in headfirst.
I will always be a fan of Salesforce and Mulesoft. It is an incredible place to work and grow and I will carry the values of Salesforce with me forever. Taking the best parts of my experience with Salesforce and combining that with the incredible leadership and technology at Arteria to build something new will keep me fired up and feed my passion for creating for years to come.
