Leaving my Dream Job

Leaving my Dream Job

Why it was by far the most difficult decision I've ever made?

Vote below ?? those of you that have had or are working in your dream job? My vote ??

After 7 exciting years in Dorna, last Monday was my last day involved in my dream job.

A few months ago, I decided it was time to stop in order to change my career towards new goals, new challenges and away from my comfort zone. And that’s why it was important for me to take a deserved and earned break until I decide what's next: recharge my batteries, think, read, do sport, keep learning, reflect, take care of myself and my loved ones,… these are things I want to do in the coming weeks before I have a project as exciting as the one I was able to enjoy at Dorna.

It is important for me to stress out three things to all those people with whom I have worked or collaborated more or less intensely in recent years: Thank you, Sorry and Godspeed.

I would like to thank everyone with whom I have been able to work with during the last seasons at Dorna: I am infinitely grateful to each and every one of you for all the things you have taught me, for all the times you have challenged me, to be a better person and a better professional, to accompany me in my mistakes and to continue working to be better, for your patience and to defend your ideas challenging to change mine.

I would also like to apologise for all the times I was wrong, for the times you defended me or put your face for me, and for all the times I've let you down. I am not perfect but I promise I learn from my mistakes. Without all this learning I would never have been able to develop or make this decision. Thank you for that too.

And Godspeed because you deserve it above all else. I hope and wish that both personal and professionally you have health & success. Very exciting and transformative moments are coming and hopefully -as I’m 100% sure- the output will be excellent.

I hope that in my future projects I am as lucky as I've been to cross paths with great professionals (and better people) as it has happened to me in recent years, both in the paddock of WorldSBK first, as a Media Director, and during the last seasons, as responsible for the entire Digital Area of Dorna, in the MotoGP paddock.

Racing Together!
