Leaving Atkins Faithful+Gould ...

It was difficult to leave a business I have given most of my working life to. Although I have had time to acclimatise to the idea of leaving Atkins F+G, it hasn’t made the moment any less sad. But 29 years (less 6 days) is a very long time and I am tremendously excited that I will now look forward into a different future with a different company.  

But I know that nothing will be quite like the years I have spent at Atkins F+G. I have been incredibly privileged to have been able to be the founder of its Atkins F+G China family and other of its Asian businesses, and to look after such a great Asia Atkins F+G family for so long. But even more, to have worked with so many people over those years who have made the experience so much fun and rewarding.  

I thank those such as Richard Hall and Bill Bottomley who gave me the space to start and then grow this important part of our worldwide business in exactly the way I wanted to, for that, and of course the opportunity in the first place, I am tremendously grateful.  

I will miss the people who surrounded me daily more than I can say and whom have along the way have become dear friends.  

A big thank you to all my staff for the picture of me created from their photos. Part of picture shown above. Many of them have been with me from the very early days. Thank you doesn’t comes close!  

But I am very pleased that I will still be here with my new company based in China in a country and with a people I love.
