The Paste Special feature is cool feature that allows you to perform advanced paste options in Excel. Learning the Paste Special function will save you time, energy, and prevent errors. Might I also add, help keep your sanity. It is very useful when moving or copying data between cells and worksheets. The shortcuts help greatly as well. I always use them . Alt +H+V+V paste values , Alt+H+V+F paste formulas , Alt+h+v+r paste formatting .

For tabular data I usually copy and paste into a text editor notepad or notepad++. Then I paste into excel and use the text import wizard from the dropdown clipboard. That's how I handle HTML data. I'm glad to have a resource like this to improve.
