Learnings as we pass 100k active users [Video]

Lessonspace is now supporting close to 100,000 active educational organizations, teachers, and students every month as they use our platform to conduct their live, online lessons.?

We’re “Zoom for Education”, and with this milestone in sight, we thought we’d share our three biggest learnings so far:

1. Focus on the Teacher

2. Focus on the Teacher

3. Focus on the Teacher

I really can’t emphasize this enough. If there is one thing we set out to do each and every day it is building tools that turn our teachers, and the organizations they work for, into online teaching superheroes.

The Lessonspace team is constantly at work improving our online whiteboards, server networks, billing structures, Math, language, and even music teaching tools, to name but a few, all based purely on what our teachers are telling us they need.

Why focus on teachers?

We believe that when you invest in teachers, give them what they need, the ultimate end result will be the success of the students.

When you become an online teaching superhero, your students become your biggest advocates.

Students are then excited about their online lessons, excited for the adventure you’ve laid ahead of them, and excited for those moments of real online collaboration.

Lessonspace aims to make online collaboration more than just a video call. We want you to feel like you're sitting next to one another.

Some further exciting updates as of May 2020:

  • In-lesson translations, big organizations using us are now customizing Lessonspace into their own required languages. From Spanish to Mandarin, Italian to French, you can do it all.
  • Group classes, we've been running some pilots with large classes of 30+, like you might have for school. It's all been going well and we plan on rolling it out to all our users in the coming months.
  • Top of class quality on poor internet, we've been achieving less frame rate loss on weak internet connections that the biggest names in the industry, all via browser-based webRTC - a massive congrats to the Lessonspace engineers working on that one!
