#5: Amazon Launches Its First Peak-Season Surcharge for Fulfillment Services

For the first time ever, Amazon has announced a peak season tax on its #fulfillment services for independent merchants from October 15 to January 14. Businesses that sell on Amazon will no longer be protected from increased peak season shipping charges by using the company's fulfillment services rather than those of other carriers. #6: Former Wincanton Plc Director Chris Fenton to join Metro Supply Chain as President and CEO

Metro Supply Chain has appointed Chris Fenton as the President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 17, 2022. Chris will be in charge of the operations and #strategy aspects of this long-standing supply chain solutions company. Prior to this, he has worked for Wincanton, a leading UK supply chain solutions company as its Managing Director and Executive Team Member.

#7: DHL Paket to Launch Two New Shipping Options for Business Customers

Business customers of DHL Paket will soon be able to access two additional delivery options for parcels that are sent to some of the EU countries: “Closest Droppoint” and “Postal Delivered Duty Paid service” (Postal DDP). The services will be bookable for parcel #shipping to select countries in Europe starting from 1 September 2022.

#8: Foot Locker Names Former Head of Ulta Beauty Mary Dillon as Its New CEO

Foot Locker recently announced that it had chosen Mary Dillon, the former Head of Ulta Beauty, to take over as the company's Chief Executive Officer. During her tenure at Ulta Beauty, Dillon focused much of her attention on building the company's #ecommerce operations, a strategy that Foot Locker has also been pouring a significant amount of resources into.
