Learnings & 25 Questions In Review

Learnings & 25 Questions In Review

Sunday, December 10th, 2023

We’re 25 questions into the Learning Loop, and here’s some of the feedback I’ve received so far from our Loopers.?

I’m paraphrasing a little:

  • These resources have been great! I even used one of the resources from one of the questions with my team.?
  • I want to go deeper with some of the questions. I’m wondering if there’s more we can do with the community. Maybe we can have a space to unpack a question in a smaller group once a month.?
  • I love these newsletters. I don’t always get to them each week, but I search my inbox for them when I have a moment because they always inspire deep reflection.?

Growing up poor, I conditioned myself to never give constructive feedback when I received something for free. While it had its ups—presenting as well-mannered—it also had downsides, leading me to become passive-aggressive because I didn’t learn how to politely assert myself.

Your attention matters to me; I don’t take it for granted. This is my long way of saying I’d love your feedback and ideas on 1) how to make the weekly newsletter better and 2) how to better connect our community.

In response to some of the early feedback, here’s what is in the works:

  • A slightly revised newsletter featuring my one or two-line highlights for each recommended resource, in case the idea sparks a different way to reflect on the question.
  • After every 5 questions, the following newsletter will be a recap of the five prior questions, giving a chance to catch up or revisit a question from the past month.
  • We're launching a paid WhatsApp community in early 2024 to facilitate a space for us to connect and create opportunities for those who want to go deeper. If anyone is interested in being a thought partner around this send me a DM.?

Please keep the feedback coming. Thank you for being on this journey to accelerate your learning with me!?

Top 5 From The First 25

In the future, this will be a round-up of the five prior newsletters so you can re-engage with one that resonated, or catch-up if you didn’t get to one you really wanted to get to.?

This time around, I decided to pull the 5 questions from the first 25 that our Loopers engaged with most:

  1. What Do I Want From Life? - Question 1

  1. Who Do I Want To Be A Hero To? - Question 2
  2. What Are My Current Blind Spots? - Question 11

  1. What Am I Carrying That I Need To Let Go Of Now? - Question 21
  2. Where Do I Find Meaning And Inspiration When I Need It? - Question 3
