It's a well known fact that the partners should complement one another for the organizations to excel and reach peak performances. Here are great ways to go about that.
1. Identify and Evaluate Your Strengths and Weaknesses: Take an honest look at your skills, talents, and experiences to determine what you bring to the table and where you can use some help or improvement. You can use online assessments or tools, or you can even partner up with a friend or mentor to help you recognize achievements and areas of growth.
2. Ask Your Business Partners: Ask your business partners questions to get an understanding of what their business values and needs. Use their answers as a guide to determine where your skills, strengths, and weaknesses complement theirs.
3. Analyze Your Performance: Track and measure your performance on specific tasks and assignments. Assess the results of your work to identify which areas you’ve excelled and which need more improvement.
4. Talk to Your Customers and Clients: Understanding customer and client feedback is important in any business relationship. Talk to your customers and clients to figure out what they need and what could be improved upon. This will give you insight into the areas you should focus on in order to better complement your business partner.
5. Take a Leadership Role: Put yourself into a leadership role and try to lead by example. Look for ways to leverage your strengths and weaknesses to improve performance and outcomes. Show your business partner that you’re able to work towards the same goal and that you’re capable of leading.
6. Be Ready to Learn: No matter how successful you are, there is always something new to learn. Be open to learning from your business partner and from your mistakes. This will help you grow and ultimately be successful in your business relationship with your business partner.
7. Take a personality or aptitude test. Many tests, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or the StrengthsFinder assessment, can help you to identify and understand your strengths and weaknesses.?
8. Ask others for their opinions. Ask trusted friends, family, teachers, or colleagues for their honest opinions about your strengths and weaknesses.?
9. Analyze your performance. Examine feedback from past projects or performance reviews, and use the information to gain insight into your skills and abilities.?
10. Evaluate your daily activities: Review your daily tasks and activities and identify areas where you naturally excel and areas where you may be struggling.
11. Create an action plan: Incorporate your conclusions into a plan for improving areas of weakness.

The DISC Personality Test is designed to measure one’s behavior in various areas, including task orientation, social orientation, stress management, decision-making, communications, and motivation.
