Learning at SOS Group

We are excited to welcome Adam Betak, our new intern from Slovakia to our Dullin head office. ??

Adam, who is pursuing a business degree in Slovakia, has joined our Office Administration team, gaining invaluable experience in the facilities management industry.

Tell us a little about your time & experience so far at SOS Group.

I work closely with our Office Manager, who is very helpful and guides me through my tasks every day. My colleagues are very nice to me as well as to each other, so the atmosphere is amazing and very friendly.

What specific projects are you most excited about working on during your internship?

Since I wanted to work in business administration, my daily tasks to support and document our daily operations are really exciting for me. I also enjoy learning new tools such as Checkbuster.

How has SOS Group helped you settle into living in Dublin?

My colleagues were very helpful with commuting and where to find local amenities.

How do you see this experience with SOS Group impacting your career?

I believe the knowledge and skills I have gained will greatly benefit me in the future. Additionally, working in English will not only improve my communication but also help me adapt more quickly and easily to international work environments.

Are there any memorable stories that you experienced during your?internship so far?

The highlight so far was definitely the company BBQ party – great food, perfect weather, and plenty of memorable laughs with the team.

What advice would you give to other students considering an international internship?

There is nothing to be afraid of, even if a new environment seems intimidating at first. An international internship is a unique experience that will undoubtedly benefit you in the future.
