1-   The secret of getting things done is, ‘Do it now!’. Don’t procrastinate. (put-off things)

2-   Always set yourself high standards. What the mind can conceive, it surely can achieve.

3-   In a class one student wants to be the President and the other is satisfied selling peanuts.  

4-   Which one are you? Change today to better and easier days ahead. Work intelligently and make life easy and pleasant for yourself and for all those around you.

5-   We know that man proposes and God disposes. Of course destiny plays a great part in carving out a future for us. So if you aim high and work to achieve your dreams then surely you will achieve greatness one day or the other.

6-   Ask more from yourself and you will get all you want.

7-   Don’t put barriers or hurdles in your way. Don’t say I can’t do it. Just get up and go and you will notice that with a little effort and determination you can cross mountains and ride on the waves of glory, victory and success.

Ask and you shall receive.

8-   One day, as I was walking down Lexington Avenue in New York I saw a beggar. ‘ Can you give me some dough (money) Sir?’ he said. ‘How much do you want?’ I asked.

          ‘Normally I ask for 50 cents but as it is Christmas eve can you give me one buck ( a  

          dollar) Sir. Getting one dollar would bring me total satisfaction,’ he replied.

          I gave him one dollar and continued.

9-   As I went a few yards further another beggar asked me for money. ‘ How much do you want?’ I asked. ‘ I normally ask for one buck but as it is Christmas so can you spare me 50 dollars,’ he said.

         ‘ Here you go.’ I said.  I gave him 50 dollars.

          Now, here’s the catch, if the first tramp, beggar, tramp or hobo had asked me for 50   

          then I would have given it to him. The first beggar aimed low and the second took a

           chance and aimed high. He had nothing to lose.

10- So the lesson you learn here is to set yourself high goals and high standards and work towards these. But just hard work in not enough.    Work swiftly and intelligently.

           Even if you don’t get what you are working for then at least your hard work will     

           catapult you to be somewhere close to the top and get experience and new hope

           to try again.

11- Motivate yourself to achieve your goal. Develop a burning desire and work incessantly. Build platforms of satisfaction in your life.

12- The powerful impact of ‘Writing’.

           Write down everything for writing creates an indelible impression in your memory. I  

           always ask my students to write one page of their thoughts for homework. Normally, I   

            ask them to write about their dreams, plans, hopes and ambitions for the coming  

           years.
