This month, we look at various tools, tips, and techniques available to us to improve the learner experience. Learner experience is somewhat of an all-pervasive concept. If you were tasked with improving the overall learner experience in your organization, where would you start? It could be your LMS - to make it easy for people to locate and access the right content. The learning content could probably use some uplifting too, and so could the enrollment and reminder emails. There are so many possibilities...
We start with a closer look at Learning Management Systems. A number of our clients are going through an LMS migration, so we decided to put together a helpful guide for all those dear souls who are suffering experiencing the same. LMS is the entrance, the scaffolding, and the keeper of the learning experience; let’s give it some TLC! We’re currently working on optimizing the LMS experience for one of our long-standing clients, and it’s interesting how some well-thought-out tweaks can really elevate the learner experience.
At the Canadian eLearning Conference in June, Ashley ran a workshop on Storyline tips and tricks, and we’re happy to share those with you!?I’ve been talking about tools for a long time now. The driving force is that a good toolset enables learning experience designers to build high-quality, high-impact training faster. To that end, we run a #ToolTuesday series on our LinkedIn account, so make sure you follow us there. Our gift for you this month is our Notion resource page for tools.?
Learning is a deeply psychological process. It involves intellectual as well as affective domains, and individuals’ motivation plays a huge role. It has been my opinion that as learning designers, our core goal is to nurture that intrinsic motivation, and not diminish it through difficult navigation, disjointed content, or inaccessible activities. I hope you will find these tools, tips, and tricks shared here helpful in that journey.

And finally, a very happy Canada Day ??and US Independence Day ??to all our friends!?
Cheers,
