Learning to LEARN

Learning to LEARN

“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” –Alvin Toffler?

Today, the world is changing rapidly. ?? Our existence depends not only on how quickly we can #learn & #relearn new things but also on how quickly we can #unlearn old things. Knowledge and on-going learning nourish our minds in the same way that food ?? nourishes our bodies. Learning is now a requirement for developing critical thinking abilities and learning new methods to interact with people from diverse cultures. It is unimaginable to envision a life without continuous learning.

#learning ability refers to how you absorb, utilize, and consume knowledge. ?? ??

You might be wondering??, how to improve one’s learning skills ?

The first thing you should do is Don’t Teach! ??

Let’s say that you have a teenager daughter ???? ♀?. You want to teach her to bake a yummy cake.? ?? Well, you would provide her all resources which are needed to bake a cake, guide her and give her instructions, but you should not exactly teach her the process. She will eventually find a way out to bake a cake by looking at cooking videos ???? ??, TV shows ??, reading articles ??, or asking a friend ???? ?? ????. This enhances learning capacity and encourages critical thinking and problem solving skills. Teaching kids how to learn, unlearn, and relearn will give their learning a strong new dimension.?

The Art of Learning ?? combines the arts and the creative process to support enhancements in youth's executive system of the brain ?? and creates confidence in the learners. It promotes exploration ??, self-assurance, teamwork ??, problem-solving, and communication among both mentor and learner. Active learning, intellectual, emotional, and social engagement, as well as cultivating creative skills ??, are highly valued.

Josh Waiztkin, in his book ??, “The Art of Learning: An Inner Journey to Optimal Performance”, focussed primarily on self-learning. Josh believes that living in a bubble of constant environment is unproductive. He says that the goal is to embrace a long-term, organic learning process.?

According to research ??, learning is deeper when it occurs during interactive??, social, situational, engaging, and educational situations. Collaborative learning develops a higher level of thinking, communication and leadership skills. It helps to understand diverse perspectives and prepare for social and employment situations. ?? ??

Everyone should learn “How to Learn” as one of their major skills.?

Making mistakes and not worrying?? about how you look are both acceptable? when learning a new talent because you're not intended to be brilliant? at it. By making the most of your mistakes and not making the same ones again, you may excel?? in any area.

Perform difficult workouts???? that allow you to complete a large number of high-quality repetitions in a short period of time??. Long-term progress?? should be the major objective.

We must put ourselves?? out there, give everything we have, and learn?? the lesson whether we succeed?? or fail?. Any task won't teach us anything if we don't give it our all. Resistance? is the point where growth occurs. By challenging ourselves, we can discover?? what truly lies at the limits of our capabilities.

You won't likely improve?? if you practise a skill?? for a period without ever testing yourself against someone who is better. You can only develop and get better at what you're capable???? of when you're pushing your limits. The secret?? to mastering a skill is to comprehend the essence of the principles rather than concentrating on a wide range of flashy?? techniques.?

You start using a technique unconsciously when you learn and master?? it. Your mind?? will be freed up to concentrate on other things, including making decisions or identifying cues? in your opponent's movements. This only occurs once you have mastered the fundamentals to a high??level. When you repeatedly practise anything, you internalize the methods until ultimately?? the mind can comprehend them in great detail??.

One should follow the 4 C’s of the 21st century to become master of self learning.?

?? ? Critical Thinking? ??

To comprehend something better, critical thinking includes a focused, thorough analysis ??. People typically refer to critical thinking when they talk about "left brain" activity. Critical learning involves several different activities, including analyzing, classifying, describing, solving problems, and evaluating.

?? ? Creative Thinking ??

#creativethinking is broad, unrestricted invention and discovery of possibilities. Generally, when individuals refer to "right brain" activity, they are referring to creative thinking. Brainstorming, creating, designing, imagining, and questioning are some of the most common ways of creative thinking.

?? ? Communicating ??

To absorb information more properly and rapidly, good #communicationskills skills are required. Communication involves various skills like reading ???? ♂?, listening ??, speaking ???, writing ???, and a lot more.

?? ? Collaborating? ??

#collaborating involves team building and working in a cooperative environment. It involves decision-making skills and evaluating various processes. Time management ?? also plays an important factor while working in a group.?

The key to learning ??? is to delve deeply into the intricate mystery ?? of the micro in order to comprehend what drives the macro. Relaxing in between any work that calls for a lot of concentration is essential.

Putting these 4 Cs into practice can make you a quick learner. As a quick learner, you can quickly pick up new abilities like coding, cooking, communication, and any other new ones! If you place a strong emphasis on your ability to pick things up quickly, your chances of #growth will increase.

Keep an eye out for my next posts on how to learn things quickly.?
