Starting New

Learning is one of my super powers. Writing isn't. Teaching is my family legacy. Art isn't. Leadership is a must-have skill. I am not a natural leader.
The purpose of this newsletter is to share the wealth of wisdom I inherited from my family, teachers, mentors, peers, strangers and stories. It is a privilege to listen and an honor to teach. I hope you find value in my words. I apologize if they end up not worth your time.
Born in Beijing, China to a father who majored in English and minored in French and a mother who was smarter, we moved to the US when I was four where I learned English at school and Chinese at home.
English is now my primary language. I hold a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College, a JD from Ohio State University. I adore learning at work, at home and all the places and times in between.
I read today one of the best skills to have is an eagerness to learn. That same article believes it is one of the most difficult talents to learn. My aim is to change that perception one person at a time!
Will be making stuff up, sharing learnings of others and documenting my learnings while experimenting with this newsletter.
Here are three skills to start
领英推荐
1- Believe
You are more than capable of making learning a super power.
2- Decide
Becoming a super learner is important to you.
3- Observe
Choose to pay attention to what is around you. People. Places. Things. Events. Emotions.
If you see something in my newsletter that could be improved, please help me learn. I hope you can be kind. If you are having a bad day and my words made it worse, I apologize and thank you for your grace.
