Learning and Growing in your Gift
One of the greatest aspects of the skill of writing is watching how the
gift grows and changes. No serious writer is writing on the same level
they were ten years ago. Exercising the gift only helps the gift to grow.
Also, learning about the gift is another way the gift grows. Writers read.
A serious writer understands gaining information is an important way
to add to the experiences in life. Experience is an excellent teacher. And
as a writer learns, they write…better.
One of the responsibilities the gift of writing carries is to learn and
grow. A writer desires their work be read and enjoyed. If no one got
anything out of what has been written, then what was the hours in
front of the computer for? Why was the precious energy used?
Readers love to read. Some of the more serious readers will commit
themselves to read the minimum of twelve books a year. A serious
writer does the same. From reading books in their genre to reading about
writing or the industry changes, writers know reading is vital to the
growth in their craft.
