- The memories gained from helping children and families that live in abject conditions will be forever etched in your mind as you realize that help that is needed. As you summarize basic needs to sustain life the first thing on your list of things to do is "food" for hungry children, clean water, clothes for children that have none, shoes for bare little feet, and simple things as bath soaps and toiletries. It is almost overwhelming to think on how kids survive on so little. For moments you will think of it as only a one way street from "you to them" but wait until you realize from the history of the area where your good work is happening. Or at least you are doing your best to make it happen. It's a lot of fun watching parents and children enjoy the love for reading you are creating. If anything you do will create better futures it is the equipping the ability of developing brains to read.
- Here is a bigger return for your investment of compassion and time you will eventually realize as you learn about their history. It is those that came before you doing their best to save lives and help others.
- As I studied the history of this area it make me want to read every book that I could read of the heroic deeds and collaboration between those saving lives and the lives of those living there to give their best to help during perilous times. If you ever want to get your kids interested in reading history the two learning resources from your compassionate efforts of today and the unforgettable memories of the past should motivate them to read every history book they can get their hands on. It happened to me. I'm still cherishing the lessons from the gifts from giving to help others.
