Learning from Taiwan's action against COVID-19
The International Hospital Federation organised earlier this week a great webinar where stakeholders from Taiwan explained how they organised themselves early to avoid COVID-19 propagation in the country, and in hospitals.
Whilst we debate here about confinement and how to progressively come back to a new normality, I have the impression that we do not enough look at the ways used in Taiwan's hospitals to cluster the activities and teams, for example. In fact this is a considerable change in our way of working here, not only in hospitals but as well for home care for elderly people, and for other activities.
I would like recommending spending one short hour to hear about Taiwan's experience. IHF's CEO, Eric de Roodenbeke, moderated an excellent round table which provided additional information.
