How did your kids cope while learning from home?
The recent Victorian State Government announcement about students continuing to learn from home increases the importance of access to realtime evidence about each student's learning.
In response to requests from schools during the initial lockdown, ProLearning developed a tool to capture information from students about their home learning environments.
The tool focuses on student Wellbeing, Access to Learning Resources, Self-directed Learning, and the Differential Impact on Learning across Curriculum Areas. The information is linked to existing student learning data for each student, to better understand how well individual students are coping, or not coping, with learning from home.
The tool provides an initial snapshot of each student's learning environment. A tailored approach is then used to monitor the main issues, and individual students who are most at risk.
