I made a lot of mistakes during my career, such as:

?? I learned PHP and stuck with it for a long time.

?? I started my career journey with 2.5k per month because I lacked the necessary skill sets.

?? I lacked confidence, so during every job switch, I couldn't speak confidently in HR rounds.

?? I was poor at salary negotiations and was always convinced by HR.

?? I didn't know how to market myself, even though I had a set of skills.

?? I worked hard for companies without understanding that only hard work doesn't reward you; smart work does, but I was unaware of how the corporate world works.

?? I was often deceived by the phrase "We are the family" in corporate settings. But that's just a saying; don’t be fooled by it. Develop skills within you and get paid for your skills rather than being taken advantage of.

?? I am an emotional person and I work with organizations with my heart. But never get emotionally attached to your work or your superiors in the corporate world, whether it’s your CEO, Founder, VP, Director, or anyone you report to. Just work professionally with all.

?? The biggest mistake of my career was being underpaid, and the surprising thing was that I wasn't aware of it. After 8.5 years, I realized that I was not getting what I deserved. People with the same designation and lesser work were getting double the pay. When I found out, I was shocked.

You might be wondering why I am sharing this with you.

I am sharing this because there are still many people like me who are underpaid and working day, night, or weekends as well. I would like to remind you that there is no concept of overtime or extra bonuses in software development. There is only in-time at the office; there is no out-time from the office, especially in software development.

Every person faces similar issues, but why?

If someone has already faced these issues, then why should everyone suffer the same?

Especially those who are new to the corporate world. The same cycle repeats for everyone.

?? Why don’t people think to solve these problems fundamentally?

?? Why does everyone suffer again and again?

?? Why do people lack skills and confidence?

?? Why can’t people learn new skills?

?? Why don’t people learn how to talk confidently with anyone?

?? Why don’t people understand their actual market value?

?? Why can’t people join at higher salaries or packages?

?? Why don’t people believe in themselves or their skills?

?? Why do people work like monkeys for their seniors or bosses?

?? Why don’t people understand their abilities, capabilities, and what they can do?

?? Why do people work with the same organization for a long time and not switch jobs?

?? Why do people tolerate mistreatment from their bosses or seniors?

?? Why do people live their lives in fear most of the time and not enjoy it?

You are also a human being like your seniors and bosses. You have a right to enjoy and live your life with happiness, my friend. Don’t sacrifice your life to earn a small amount of money. I am not saying to leave your job, but what I am trying to make you understand is that everyone has unique qualities within themselves. The people who understand their qualities, abilities, and capabilities do amazing things in their careers as well as their lives.?

Some people understand on their own, some people need some assistance, and the rest of the people don’t even try to listen, forget about understanding. That’s why they work in the same environment for their entire life.

If you have the ability, capability, or quality to do something better, then why shouldn’t you give it a chance?

I was in the same shoes two years ago and I started working on myself. I realized that my value is 3x more than what I was getting. This is simple math. If you try to understand yourself but can’t find something within you, then I have a formula for you to judge yourself on what you deserve.

Just multiply your current earnings by three. You will get what you deserve, my friend. Our minds can work ten times more than what we think. Accordingly, we deserve more than three times, but it’s a simple way to calculate it. Most people think, "How do I calculate what I deserve?"

But in the corporate world, we are fooled by organizations and companies in the name of lacking skill sets, communication, leadership skills, time management, people management, strategy management, etc. There are a lot of other things as well.

Why do they fool us and why are we fooled by them?

This is really a matter of thought.

?? Who are they to define our character or attitude?

?? Who are they to decide what we deserve?

?? Who are they to think that we can’t handle a team?

?? Who are they to say we lack confidence?

?? Who are they to decide our boundaries to grow?

?? Who are they to limit us or force us to earn limited, eat limited, sleep limited, and live our lives with limited resources?

?? Who are they to say that we can’t do this or that?

?? Who are they to say we can’t become entrepreneurs?

?? Who are they to say we can’t cross our middle-class boundaries?

?? Who are they to say we can’t become millionaires, billionaires, or successful people?

?? Who are they to say we can’t learn leadership skills?

?? Who are they and who gave them the rights to say and think about us all that?

Do you know that?

The only and only we all are, my friend. We are the only ones who gave them the rights to think and say all these things about us.

Don’t you think we gave them the liberty to say and think all these things about us?

Why?

Because we don’t know our real potential and market value. We don’t know how to sell ourselves to companies and organizations. Because we are ready to join whatever is coming and we accept that. We don’t have the power or capability to refuse, reject, and say "NO."

The moment we develop the power of saying "NO," we start living our real life; otherwise, we always live for others and are controlled by other people. If we are born on this planet as a human being, we have our unique name. That is our identity. To justify our identity, we should not be controlled by other people. You have a full right to say "NO." But saying no is not an easy task.

Do you know why?

To say "NO," you have to learn the following things:

?? You need to build confidence and courage.

?? To build confidence, you have to become an expert in your field with your skill sets.

?? Once you become an expert with your skill sets, you need to understand your qualities.

Once you learn all these things, you can easily build the confidence within yourself to say "NO." I understand that you will face a lot of struggles, challenges, and different situations. But you must have faith in yourself, your abilities, and your capabilities. You have to remember one thing that I always say: "Never Give Up!"

Once you start saying "NO," you will start living your life on your own terms. You will not be controlled by other people and you can live a happy life. But this journey itself is not easy. You need someone to guide you, someone who can help you. Someone who can understand you, who can listen to you every day, and understand how you are doing every day. What kind of challenges you are facing and guide you to deal with the situations. A person you can share all your problems, challenges, and situations with on a daily basis. That person will not only guide you but will prepare a plan for the day, week, month, and for the entire year.

Who will be that person?

Obviously, not your boss, not your life partner, not your friend, not your colleagues, and not your family member. This person will be your career or life guide, who will work behind you as your mentor or career or life coach. That person will decide your daily routine, your office routine, your health routine, your finance routine, and your daily habits on a daily basis. That person will find the best version of yourself and work for you 24 hours. Whenever you grow and achieve your career or life goals, he or she will be happier for you than your life partner or your family or friends.

I spent 16 years in corporate with different problems, challenges, and situations, but no one was there to help me. I was not even aware that such services were available in this world. When I started my career, these things were not common or I can say that no one was aware of all these things. But now, these days, everything is possible. People are helping each other to grow in every area. Career and life coaching or mentoring are not the only things, but you can get a mentor or coach for anything else.
