Learning From Failure
“The Capacity To Learn Is A Gift, The Ability To Learn Is A Skill, The Willingness To Learn Is A Choice.??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
-Brian Herbert
?
Learning is a lifelong process from the day we are born till the day we die we learn something new each day to build our knowledge and intellect. We all hear that learning is an endless process and we should always be keen to learn.
However, the big question is, do we learn?
If yes, then from where do we learn? Most of us go to our best friend i.e., Google to learn something, which is not a crime. But in this digital era, we forgot someone who can teach better than the internet, Ourselves.
In our career, we come across situations where we give our efforts to reach somewhere, it can be a target we want to meet or a goal we want to achieve and many other small or big tasks but sometimes we don’t make it in the first try or maybe not even in the second or third trial and we feel that we have failed.
What is a failure?
There is not even a single person who never faced any rejection or failure in their personal or professional lives. Even the richest man has got a lot of failure stories to tell you. A wise man once said.
“I Have Not Failed. I Have Just Found 10,000 Ways That Won’t Work.â€
?- Thomas Edison
?
The question is, what do we consider a failure?
This one word will have a different meaning in people's opinion. For me, it's the unfavorable outcome of my efforts to achieve something. In such a situation I used to get upset and depressed which only made it harder for me to achieve it and I would be still struggling and end up getting frustrated with myself and the situation. For some, the impact may be major and for others, it may be minor, but we all get hit by these emotions.
?
What are the steps to bounce back from the failure?
When I started working for a new client, my goal was to give the best talent to my client and find someone who would be happiest working for that client. While working I was facing challenges daily and there was a point when I was close to giving up on that requirement after getting multiple rejections.

Giving up is easy, anybody can do it, but it takes a lot of effort to stick to that failure and try again and again until you finally find a way. I did the same, I kept pushing myself to work on the same requirement until I got selections. I would say that I am still working on the same path and there is a lot to learn and work on till I reach that point of success. Here are some key points you can keep in mind if you come across something similar.
Key Points: -
·????????Get clarity on the Goal.
·????????Find a motivation that will drive you to success.
·????????Never Give up on yourself or the goal.
·????????Keep trying even after multiple errors.
·????????Find the flaws and avoid them.
Let me tell you, bouncing back from this phase will not be easy, it’s going to take a lot of effort from your side but once you make it to that point of success you will have a lot of lessons that you learned from yourself and now you know not to repeat it.
?
?
Conclusion:
In such situations, it's important to understand what you want to achieve, why you want it, and what you can do to achieve it. Now, think about the efforts you made previously to achieve it and learn from the mistake you made in the process. You may be unclear on what to do next but at least you will learn from yourself exactly what to avoid.
?
Now all you have to do is surround yourself with people who have similar goals as you, those who have some aspirations in their life that they want to achieve. These are the key people to help you find the inspiration for your next steps. With new inspiration and a good self-learned lesson, you embark on a new journey to achieve your goals in life.
?
The bottom line is that getting a rejection, or a failure should not feel like a defeat. Because once you achieve success in something it may become a dead-end for new learnings. So, we need to face this failure and make it the beginning of a new learning process.

2 å¹´I could certainly do better at learning through my failures rather than seeing them as indicating I am broken in some way. SO HARD as a high achiever! But, it is making me better each time I try to overcome failure through seeing it as a lesson not a mark on my record.
