Learning from the book "Who Shall I be Today" by Sunita Saldhana. This book was a personal gift to me from the author. Book is the collection of 40 poems.
Following is the part of one of her poem “laughing at the life” which stood out for me.
“I want to laugh
coz I’ve reached rock bottom.
And it’s exhilarating
To feel that firm nothingness.
To know you can’t go lower.
That there is nothing more to lose;
That there is nothing left
To worry about.
Now the only way is up
And Forward.
Now it’s exciting new dreams to dream!
New directions, new beginnings!”
As the last lines said, you should be happy at rock bottom because the only way after that is upwards. Being at rock bottom is depressing but seeing it in this manner puts a smile on the face.
In my vision of “Simplifying the complex knowledge of Books,” YouTube videos will play an important role. Hence last week, I launched my YouTube Channel. I spent hundreds of hours in making videos (as they were animated) and had lot of expectations. But views didn’t turn as expected.
I was frustrated and depressed. I decided that I won’t do any more videos and logged out. Next day I was reading this book, and this poem just stood out. Those lines made me realize that I should be happy because my YouTube channel was at the bottom line. The only way now is upwards.
That night (4 days ago), I decided to make videos again but with different strategies. I brainstormed ideas with team and got one new idea. The new idea will not only increase the views but also add more value to the viewer’s life.
I hope those lines will give you positive push as they gave me. In the comment section, please share your past experience where you felt you can’t make it but you did. People might get inspired from your story.
