“Learning is a Force Multiplier”; a powerful and compelling statement because it evokes the power of what learning can accomplish. When harnessed, focussed, and intentional, learning has the power to change beliefs, shifts behaviours, results, first at the individual level and then at a larger level up to the extent of changing the world order.
Human evolution teaches us that the individuals, organizations and societies who were adaptable to change; flourished and achieved unprecedented success. All changes are uncomfortable and put 3 choices in front of us:
1. Do nothing
2. Do nothing and continue with what you know
3. Be curious to understand the change and find opportunities to learn new things
Those who go with first choice parish, people with second choice end up exhausting themselves with less or no success. The people who go with third choice, they look into the possibilities rather than being threatened by change and they benefits maximum from the change. One new learning has the potential to change various aspects of life.
The global shutdown that resulted from the pandemic redefined almost every facet of society and it is apparent that we are standing in the middle of “Era of Mass Disruption”. During these times the role of learning & development professionals who are committed to the development of knowledge, skills and capability is becoming increasingly critical. Learning professionals have to not only design and execute the programs to reskill and upskill the workforce to champion the challenge but they also need to focus on development of new leadership capabilities and grow future leaders. Our success as learning professionals is defined by creating opportunities for developing workforce capabilities at the individual, team and organizational levels, even as the pace of change accelerates.
These are wonderful times for the learning professionals who are committed to make learning an important strategic lever for the growth of organization.

4 年Crisp and clearly written. I like the "Be curious" phrase that you used in the 3rd choice. Curiosity, is the emotion which one needs to evoke to get into the learning mode whenever they come across something that evokes emotions such as fear, anger, disgust, shame, hopelessness, sadness, etc. Do post more often Sushil!
