Being in a workplace means you have to deal with ceaseless challenges and sudden changes that might be unfamiliar to you. Hence, it is important that you embody the skill of being courageous and a risk-taker. Apparently, there are three types of workplace courage: TRY courage; TRUST courage; and TELL courage.?
Fostering courage in the workplace enables you to grow out of your comfort zone and take risks. However, you must also accept the fact that by being courageous, you need to understand that everything is risky. But then, always put in mind that what follows the risks is the reward. Even brave leaders choose courage to excel at work because it is a form of honest communication and problem resolution. Indeed, widening your capacity for courage does not only help your career but it makes you a better leader.
With that, it is highly encouraged to establish a workplace culture of calculated risks in order for the employees to learn how to embrace risks 一 instead of avoiding them. Taking risks is a 50-50 chance, it’s either you fail or succeed. But it is smart risk taking that pushes the company to achieve new heights. By means of risk taking, you must learn how to explore and experiment and of course, make your own decisions. In the end, people who are not afraid of doing more and challenging themselves can always lead to greater success.?
The ability to drive change or be innovative, on the other hand, is also a necessary skill at work. Innovation always begins with a mindset of possibility. Hence, an innovative culture in the workplace must not only allow employees to create, but also to think, manage, and collaborate.?

3 年I read like the article you linked on Courage. And it’s not a stupid courage of a so called hero-leader. “Try courage†is clear, we need it for innovation and growth. But “trust courage†especially cannot be mentioned enough: it takes courage to open up and trust a person, especially someone higher up, who can influence your life. And with the courage to trust “tell courage†gets easier. Thank you for sharing.
