Learning & Development at New Forest Collection

Learning & Development at New Forest Collection

At New Forest Collection we are dedicated to creating an environment where learning for life is built into the foundations of how we manage our people.?To demonstrate our commitment to delivering effective skills development for all our team members, NURTURE became one of our core values in 2019. Our values were created in collaboration with all our people during dedicated culture workshops and this has been fundamental to our successes in learning and development, during what can only be described as the most challenging time in the history of our industry. We live in a world where rapid change has become the norm, this has been a large area of consideration when developing roles and creating training programmes, ensuring our teams are not only able to perform at their best but are fulfilled in their work at the same time.

We have dug deep over the past few years to really understand the challenges our people and managers face when onboarding new starters and promoting and evolving careers across our venues. This has enabled us to focus on finding effective solutions including departmental bibles, systems training, and our own bespoke skills workshops designed and delivered by our very own Learning and Development expert.

Learning at Work Week is a fantastic opportunity for us to announce the creation of our new role, People Development and Training Executive. This role is dedicated to our L&D function. Our unique company structure enables us to provide our local talent base with a variety and regular opportunities for promotion. Climbing the hospitality ladder with pace and targeted support is what makes New Forest Collection special, whilst our community approach allows us to retain our many hospitality superstars. This new role anchors our commitment to providing all our people with the right options to support their own individual training needs and growth ambitions.
