Learning and Development at Crown Holdings, inc.
At Crown Holdings, Inc. , Learning and Development is a key element of our culture of Working Together, one of the 5 goals that make up our #Twentyby30 program to accelerate sustainability. Here are details of two training activities we are proud to have rolled out this year.
Elements of Engagement:
“At CROWN Bevcan EMEA, we commit to developing the potential of every Manager in terms of values, attitudes, and skills needed to become an inspiring Leader.
?
Development must be considered in its broadest sense. It is not just about training courses, but challenging job assignments, involvement in cross-functional projects and C-Suite-level exposure, which are equally important learning experiences. Thus, our managerial training offer combines operational assignments, tailor-made functional trainings, and core business training programs intended to develop common approaches and values.
?
Developed with our long term partner Chris Atkinson, from Strategic Leadership, CROWN “Elements of Engagement” training focuses on the key elements that help leaders engage their teams, providing participants practical tools and routines they can use daily. Participants learn about the importance of moving from a transactional to a transformational and inspirational leadership, through storytelling, coaching, deeper insight and authentic conversation, celebration, inspiring and team oriented targets, and honest but inspiring feedback. Additionally, the training includes a plant visit and outdoor activities to strengthen group bonds, foster collaboration and promote a sense of belonging.
?
Inclusive Leadership is one of the most important elements impacting employee engagement. How leaders communicate with their teams, create a shared vision, help their team members grow and develop professionally has a direct impact on employees’ performance and wellbeing at work.

Unconscious bias in Recruitment:
"We are thrilled to share the success of our recent blended training on "Unconscious Bias in Recruitment", a transformative learning experience that brought together 25 Managers from all our divisions. The journey was eye-opening and deeply insightful, empowering our Leaders to foster a more inclusive and diverse workplace.
The training focused on one crucial objective: to raise awareness of unconscious bias and its profound impact on the recruitment process, and to give participants tools to fight it.?
By combining online content, provided by our learning partner Skillsoft, via Percipio, with webinars delivered by internal and external experts, the training was designed to shed light on what unconscious bias truly is and how we can recognize it. The key note intervention of DEI expert Charmaine Brown added nuance and real life examples of how bias truly impacts the workplace. Through interactive discussions and real life scenarios, participants gained insights into how we can adapt our strategies to nurture a more inclusive talent pool, and promote a fair recruitment process.
This is the first training in which we bring together participants from all the continents, adding a truly enriching perspective of cultural awareness and diversity into this complex topic.
Throughout this training, our participants exhibited a great deal of enthusiasm and dedication, eager to apply this knowledge and understanding to drive meaningful change within their respective teams and regions.
We are already preparing a new edition of this training, as another step into our journey towards a more diverse and inclusive organization.
