Learning to Detach From Outcomes and Embrace the Journey
People come into our lives for a moment, a season or a lifetime. At times, they teach us valuable lessons. Sometimes they help us through hard times. In some cases, they are in our lives to reflect what we like and dislike about ourselves. Sometimes they are in our lives to tell us a message. Occasionally, they connect us to others.
Whether they are a potential client, a music manager for your career, co-writers or someone else, chasing someone to stay in your life usually doesn't work out well. Whoever is meant to be part of your life will be. When we attach ourselves to others, people can feel it. When I am in a good mood and not attached to the outcome, incredible clients and opportunities show up in my life. I will receive messages out of nowhere for my services. When I am in a lack mindset or more attached to the outcome, crickets happen. Turn on your magnetism to attract the clients and results you desire.
Also, sometimes when we change, the people around us also change. Growth and change are the only constants in our lives. This means crying over spilled milk is a waste of energy. If a client leaves or ends their contract or ghosts you, be grateful. When we let go of people who do not serve our highest good we create space for clients even better.
I always viewed life like a video game. You will always have opportunities for lessons, meet various characters and repeat levels when you do not learn a lesson the first time. There will be characters in your life that help you reach that next level, and then you will meet others who challenge you. It is all part of the process of becoming an even greater version of yourself. Every day we evolve.
Next time you are stressed about someone not being as active in your life, breathe and focus on you. When you focus on who you are, whatever clients are meant to work with you, will. "Be the star of your movie," Aaron Doughty says. When you focus on you, that is when you turn on your magnetism and you will increase your chances of drawing the clients and opportunities that you desire. Lastly, remember to always ask for this or better.
