Learning is beautiful

My journey continues. As I carry on looking for the beautiful, I let my curiosity guide me towards excellence. Come to think of it, you are exactly where your higher learning lies. And you have been placed there to enable you to learn the lesson you need.

For me, this quote encapsulates everything about why people engage in a journey of learning. It has more to do about something within you rather than something outside of your control. I have ever since maintained my student status by learning from life and people everyday. This is one of the many reasons I had for joining an e-learning platform to get upskilled.

Learning can take many different forms, from education, to developing a new skill, to challenging yourself to step out of your comfort zone.

Today’s workforce has to learn and process more information in a shorter amount of time. New products and services are emerging with accelerating speed. As production cycles and life spans of products continue to shorten, skills quickly become obsolete, leading to the need for almost constant re-training. Managers feel the urgency to have new knowledge delivered to workers rapidly and efficiently so that skill levels can be maintained. Just-in-time training is becoming a critical element of organizational success. Learning is becoming a continual process rather than a distinct event.

Brian Herbert once said, ‘The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.’

So dear readers of "One Step Forward", this newsletter has given me the opportunity to connect with like minded people like you and I would like this connection of ours to nurture and grow.
